Summary: This is one of my favorite movies...
Review: I don't really understand what y'all are talking about when you say it's 1) not suspenseful and 2) much too gory. I was on the edge of my seat even though I've read the book. I admit, they did change the killer to some funky medtech and messed up the reasoning, but it's not that important. Second, if you think it's too gory... then why are you watching movies about serial killers? Gore is what they *do*. It's what they *enjoy*. If you don't like gore, you have no business seeing serial killer movies. And if it's any consolation, the book was... much more so. So, the bad things: 1) They changed the killer and his motivation, which confused some people. 2) The scriptwriters decided to kill nearly everyone and play with the ending a lot. 3) They... simplified it, I guess I'm saying, which led to some confusion. The good things: 1) Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie were *excellent* in this movie. They were very true to the characters as I saw them. 2) The technology and filmography were great as well. I know this movie was filmed in Canada, but I swore it was actually New York. 3) Other than what the scriptwriters compressed, they were very true to the plot and the dialogue. Thank you, Jeffrey Deaver.Overall, an excellent movie. A must-see.

Summary: Good and gory
Review: Guaranteed nightmares if you watch this too closely. Fun at the time, altho the ending was a little slack. Good surprise, tho, but it just did not tie up that well. But up until the last ten minutes this mostly police procedural work was very entertaining, altho some of the gore could have been eliminated even those they seemed to filter it pretty well. Denzel was great, Angelie good. Definitely better than a lot of others.

Summary: SORRY.. .THIS "THRILLER" backfired...
Review: It's a shame. This thriller is so unconvincing that you end not believing that Washington is in it. THe plot is a shame, nobody even gets a little bit scared. THere is a coward attempt to mislead the public to believe that every character may be the killer. IN the end, the ridiculous cliche scene that shows the killer ready to kill the heroe, but then our female heroe (Jolie) appears out of the blue delivering fatal shots into the grotesqly stylized villain. Sad..

Summary: Knock-Off Plot with Horrible Ending
Review: The movie has an honorable premise, but ends up as a contrived typical horror film. The suprises are kept to a minimum, where there are many places where one could put a great scene. And the ending is absolutely TERRIBLE! If you do purchase this film, turn it off before you get to the final scenes with the killer. You will be much happier!

Summary: Dumb And Lacks Atmosphere And Style.
Review: "The Bone Collector" seemed like a taught, creepy thriller in the promos, but instead we get a boring, dumb, lazy and uninteresting movie that only serves as a waste of great talent. It's not worth the ticket or rental price and will stand as a smudge on both Denzel Washington's and Angelina Jolie's careers. They'll eventually make better movies, but "The Bone Collector" is a perfect example of great actors caught in a lame movie. "The Silence Of The Lambs" and "Seven" were plausible, atmospheric and convincing thrillers, "The Bone Collector" is a wanna-be of those two. The screenplay even lacks good dialogue. The title has no real importance. Washington's character would work just as well if he was only paralyzed from the WAIST down. The killer at the end turns out to be just funny and geeky. The way the plot is structured is so unbelievable and boring. There is no real point to the killings or to the killer driving around in some taxi. Even that stupid little monkey thing hanging around in the posters and commercials doesn't mean a thing. "The Bone Collector" is never thrilling or convincing, skip this one.

Review: I liked this movie a lot. It dose not send a chill down your spine or anything like that but I can deny it some scenes are scary. But overall I enjoyed this movie a lot and I say this is the movie to pick.
