Summary: Dont read this if you havent seen the movie
Review: This is for people who have seen the movie but dont understand what was going on. If you havent seen it but want to go into the movie knowing what happens, then read it. It's basically just the girl is evil, she drives her mother crazy, the father puts her in an institution, they take her out of the institution, her mother proceeds to kill her, then the mother kills herself. The girl convinces the reporter, Naomi Watts, that she was the victim, and that her parents were evil and abusive. Watts frees the girls spirit, and the girl kills Watts' boyfriend. Watts realizes that the girl hasn't killed her because Watts made a copy of the tape. Watts see's that the girl wants to express herself, ie kill, and that the tape gives her the opportunity. So, she makes more tapes at the end, so that the girl will kill others instead of killing her son. If I'm wrong, please correct me :)

Summary: Purely, simply creepy
Review: In an era of scary movies that try just as hard to make statements about the superficial state of society along with what they are trying to scare you with, The Ring focusses more on what the characters are dealing with. It's a simple movie with a beginning, middle, and end, and doesn't force you to be a certain kind of person or be aware of too much to feel involved and enjoy it.It was a nice relief from the norm. I was pleasantly surprised by it.

Summary: If you want to be scared, then watch "The Shining"
Review: Ok, I just watched The Ring, and I must say I really was not that scared. I can imagine that it would scare younger folk, but I much prefer physiological thrillers such as The Shining by Stanley Kubrick. Everything about The Ring was simply adequate! The lighting, the sound, the filming the acting, nothing was fantastic, simply adequate. Again, you need to watch a film from a master such as Kubrick and then see if you have nightmares, that is if you get it because with The Ring, their really was nothing to get! 3 stars because it was...... adequate.

Review: THIS IS THE BEST SOUNDTRACK THAT CINEMA HAS EVER PRODUCED! YET DREAMWORKS WON'T RELEASE IT. THERE ARE MORE THAN 1000 PEOPLE IN MY STATE ALONE WHOM WANT THIS! COME ON DREAMWORKS! DO THE F*CKING RIGHT THING!!!!!!!

Review: I'm a huge horror fan and have seen most horror movies out there. This is by far one of the scariest I have seen. If you enjoyed the Shining, or any thing to do with ghosts and murder etc. This is the best. Remember it is one thing to lose your life, but another thing to lose your sould to The Ring. ;-)

Summary: Want action? Don't get his movie
Review: I love horror and mystery movies! But this time, somehow, I did not like it. I think it is because it lacks of a causal relationship between the death of the people and a movie and also because it lacks of action, everything is so calm ... my father got asleep after 30 minutes and I was like "I want my money back"
If you are the type of person that likes action/horror movie do not rent it. It does not have a lot of action, no ghost chasing/killing people, no scenes that can make you scream, no scenes that can make you girlfriend/wife hug you (which is the most important part... LOL)

Review: When I saw "The Ring" I thought ok...cool...another horror film what the heck. BOY I WAS WRONG!!! The mystery of The Ring is scary as well as the movie by Gore Verbinski itself. The story is of a video that if you watch it, you get a disturbing phone call that you'll die in SEVEN DAYS! I get chills writing about it. Rachel (Naiomi Watts) has a niece who died as well as four friends at the same night. All four watch the mysterious tape...

Summary: IT SUCKS!
Review: I hate directors and/or writers that still ideas and make a movie. I know they had permission but a duplicate is never the same as the origianl. This movie was no where near to the original Ringu or 'ring'. I doubt The Ring 2 will be as good as Ringu 2...wish i could of made it 0 stars. This movie should be only for ppl who hate international films or hate subs. But...if you love this movie...and want to see something even better...go buy Ringu. MY OPINION SHOULD NOT STOP YOU FROM BUYING THIS...IF YOU LOVE HORROR MOVIES, American style, THAN BUY THIS DVD, and/or Vhs. JUST PLZ...WATCH RINGU, RINGU 2, AND RINGU 0 ALSO.
