Summary: Moments of Brilliance
Review: Mix up a small army of seasoned comedians, stir with a purposely convoluted plot, dash with some occasionally bright dialogue, and you get Clue: The Movie. It hits the spot, sure, but the aftertaste is pretty strong.

This rather ambitious movie suffers from its own expectations, which is nothing grand. Those looking to find a good, solid mystery had best look somewhere else--the mystery in this case is pedestrian in its setup and decidedly frantic in its implementation. It's not bad, but Ngaio Marsh and Agatha Christie aren't running for their money.

The comic abilities of the actors are without peer, especially given the time. Ensemble movies are hard to come by and even harder to do successfully, but a cavalry of better-than-second-rate stars such as Martin Mull, Tim Curry, Madeline Kahn, Michael McKean and Christopher Lloyd did a reasonably commendable job. Kahn's performance is particularly impressive to me, but her part is too small to do her justice. And that's one more problem--most of these actors, with the exception of Tim Curry, have too little screen time to really shine. With so many cast members, it's excusable, and lamentable.

With all this praise, why do I rate it so low? There are a few reasons. For one, the dialogue can be smart and sharp, but it can also be dull and cheap. ... Some of the elaborate scenes describing the clues are snoreful and are obviously added in to satisfy the "mystery" element of the movie. To make the script shine, they could have incorporated the mystery within the context of smooth, clever banter amongst the suspects; instead, they let Tim Curry do all the talking for a long, long time.

The bottom line? It's not a bad movie. Some of the lines are classic, and the movie is the right length--a bane of many a middling comedy. It's no classic, but it's worth the watch.

Summary: What a great Clue!
Review: Clue was a great movie. The other night I saw it on t.v. and thought it was a very clever movie. Tim Curry's character was genious. The movie keeps you guessing. I really enjoyed the end how they showed different ways it could of happened but then said "This is how it really happened...". You should all go out and see this movie. Or buy it here from Amazon! Thank you for reading my opinion!

Summary: Clue Revue
Review: This is quite a fun show. I thought the entire cast of characters did a nice job of playing their sometimes challenging roles. Although the themes of "Clue" may seem a bit dark or macabre, who cares? Despite everything, it still finds a way to be fun. Tim Curry is the leading player and does a bang-up job as Wadsworth, the butler. I also found Lee Ving to appear quite ominous as Mr. Boddy and Colleen Camp to be sexy AND funny as Yvette, the maid! Oh, and who could forget Eileen Brennan, Madeline Kahn, Christopher Lloyd, Michael McKean, Martin Mull, and Lesley Ann Warren as the suspects? They seem to fit their parts as well as ever! Not to mention, the sets of the various parts of the household, and the props as weapons were very well done. Why not go out and give this a chance? Rent it! Now, all we have to do is wait for a Special Edition.....

Summary: Bodies Pile Up and so do the Laughs
Review: This movie is so good I would rate it a 10 star[if possible.] It follows after the famous board game in a great way. 6 people are all being blackmailed and have come to a horrible house to face the black mailer[Mr.Boddy.] Then he is strangely murdered. Every single person has a perfect motive, but who don'it? It is so funny that one moment you will be chilled to the bone, the next second you will be bursting out laughing. It has 3 different endings, each stranger than the other. This film is PG for some sexual references, mild language and violence. Enjoy the movie.

Summary: Clue rocks!
Review: I first caught this movie on TV when I was about eight years old. Months later, I was renting it every other week until I had all the dialogue memorized.

I was thinking about this movie just the other day (ten years later!). I rented it with my little sister, who's seven years old and let me just say... I wasn't expecting it to still be funny but it honestly is! The both of us absolutely loved it. If anything the movie just got funnier, as I now understand a lot of the jokes that went over my head when I was younger.

Brennan, Curry, McKean and Kahn steal most of the scenes... and with good reason! They're amazing! So is this movie, so watch it already!

Summary: Everyone will love "Clue"
Review: I actually found out about this movie by accident, after I fell in love with the board game. It proved to be the hilarious, exciting, and fast-moving comedy. Unexpectedly funny and delightful; every time you watch it, you notice something new. This is one of those movies that will change your mood for the better and never become tiring. Full of vibrant, colorful, and eccentric characters. This is an immortal film not to be missed. I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed, this is the type of movie that will charm everyone. A pity it is so little known, even though filled famous lead roles.
