Rating: Summary: The Implausible Story Delivers the Ultimate Screen Villain! Review: The most amazing thing about this film (apart from Anthony Hopkins performance) is the fascinating way in which it takes such an implausible story line and transforms it into a completely believeable plot twist. The idea of a rookie FBI agent being allowed to interview a man who is capable of convincing his fellow inmates to commit suicide, is- at best- unbelieveable. But the viewer overlooks such faults, when faced with the wonderfully naive performance of Jodie Foster and the cultivated psychosis of Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins). Even confined behind Plexiglass, he appears terrifying. His fierce intellectual superiority over his fellow man is belied by the numerous humorous comments made by him during the course of the film. Truly, the greatest screen villain of all time!

Rating: Summary: Anthony Hopkins and Jodie Foster are a match made in heaven Review: This scary story will keep you on the edge of your seats the entire time. Hopkins delivers his best proformance yet. Foster is also fantastic as the scaried and vulnerable Clarice Starling. Don't see this if you have a weak stomach. Otherwise, don't miss it for the world.
Rating: Summary: The dark side of America... Review: Of course, this movie is absolutely GREAT (I've seen it at least 15 times, no kidding!), but in my opinion, it also offers a sharp portrait of what America has become. Almost 100 per 100 of the serial killers are in the States and violence is growing, the news reflect it everyday... It seems to me that the country's face is no longer human just like Gump's at the end of the movie, lying dead, wearing his monstruous glasses to see in the dark. Notice by the way in the same scene, the fallen American flag near the broken window: if that's not symbolic!!!...
Rating: Summary: A movie, while good, still leaves a bad taste in the mouth Review: The film is creepy, has a good plot and I still have fun while I watch Hopkin's performance (whoever doesn't like his performance or his ways of bringing out some of the lines just don't "get it") but the very dark nature of the film, still leaves me a little off about, and I'm the kind of guy that likes dark films (Seven is a good one). I did not really appreciate Foster

Rating: Summary: Anthony Hopkins at his best! Review: Silence of the Lambs is such a great psychological thriller! Anthony Hopkins, Jodie Foster, and the rest of the cast really make this movie. Hannibal Lecter is truly the greatest fictional character ever created. Warning: this movie is best viewed with liver, some fava beans, and a nice Chianti.
Rating: Summary: Huge Fan of Novel and Movies Review: I am a huge fan of both the movies and the novels of the Starling/Lecter plot. I really believe this is a great suspenseful movie, and its not too over the top when it comes to the gore, which of course is present given it's a movie about a cannibal and serial killers. It is also not too over the top in the drama department, and Foster makes the role seem believable and natural. None of the story, aside from Lecter's, um, rather artistic display towards the end, is really too far fetched, and that is one of the best and most creepy things about this movie.
Rating: Summary: A Great Movie Review: "Silence" hits the mark. It has all of the qualities that a great movie should have...acting, directing, storyline, and atmosphere. It was the third film in motion picture history to win the five top awards...Best Picture, Best Screenplay, Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Actress. That alone says something. film.
