Review: I bought this unit and i was surprised find out that it has a great audio, nice bass, however it lacks treble and bass controls. I had to replace the unit due to problem with the power unit a week after I purchased it, now afer 3 months it skips some dvd's during playback. Also, the fan makes alot of noise for its size.

Review: I was astonished when I first heard the surround sound coming out of this. It is very nicely crafted and the finish looks attractive. The main unit, which contains the tuner for AM/FM, CD player and DVD player is sleek and small, yet quite heavy and solid feeling. Installation was pretty simple with the color coded wiring, although it is helpful to plan location ahead of time, as there may not be enough wire except for very small rooms. The remote is average, but once you become familiar with it, the controls are not difficult to use.

The sound is fine for a small home theater system. In fact, the sub does an incredibly good job of playing solid, tuneful bass, and it has a good range of adjustments. The front and rear speakers are a bit thin-sounding, but are adquate for theatrical presentation. Then, I heard a noise coming from the receiver, and thought it was just the DVD. Unfortunately, there is a fan that was extremely loud, so it's going back tomorrow. I will try a replacement to see if this was just an anomaly. If the new one is quiet, this will find a place of distinction in the home theater room. Otherwise it will be returned as a good idea with bad execution. This is certainly not high end, but it could be quite sufficient for small rooms that are going to be used for home theater.

Summary: Inexpensive value
Review: I went shopping for a decent DVD player expecting to pay up to $200. I was surprised to discover an entire home cinema system available for less. It was easy to assemble but more importantly, the sound options coming out of this system kicked butt. I enjoy a wide range of musical creativity [Sneeker Pimps to Bach] as well as DVD diversions. This system stepped up to the job. I just hope it lasts.

Review: This item, for the price, is outstanding. I recently purchased this item and couldnt be happier with it. Not only do you get five speakers and a subwoofer, you also get a DVD player with it. The sub, which is only 75 watts, packs quite a punch and compliments the rest of the surround sound nicely. This system is also very easy to install, with minimal cords and plugs. I would recommend this item to anyone who was looking for a audio system and didnt want to break the bank.
