Summary: My poor, poor mother-in-law...
Review: ...actually bought one of these, and you should've seen the look on her face when she came over to my house and heard a REAL home theater system! I felt so sorry for her, I offered to come over to her house and check that all the connections were properly set up.
Well, I went and saw that yes all the speaker cables were correctly put in. In fact, she had gone out and used those gazillion dollar Monster cables, poor thing---she was always such a gullible, trusting woman.
But that was that: there simply was no way around the simple fact that for the outrageous amount she paid for this system, it produced barely mediocre sound. Just lots of treble and some exaggerated bass, which would be okay if you only watch bang-bang-wham-bam-kaboom action movies. However, she loves musicals and dramas---which only exposed the total scam that this overhyped and overpriced Bose stuff really is.
To their credit, Bose does however honor their money-back policy which UPS and FedEx probably appreciate greatly.

Review: ...When I purchased my HDTV, I was offered a "floor model" bose system for $300. I had heard that Bose was a good brand, so I took it...It's amazing...Get this system, you won't regret it. You'll get goosebumps from it.

Review: Enjoy your movies and music with this system...When I was going to buy my home theater system, I listened to at least another 5 systems of other brands and other configurations When I heard the Bose Lifestyle 12, I was impressed. You definetely get what you pay for; go for it and don't waste your time looking at other brands.

Summary: The perfect Home Theater system for Quality sound !
Review: The BOSE LS 12 quality sound and "futuristic look" convinced me so much I had to buy it.This system is kind of expensive but it really worths it. First You dont know were the sound comes from because the speakers are so powerfull & small, not like other BIG speakers that don`t fit well and look messy in the house.
Highly recomended for anybody that like to her good sound in CD`s, CDR`s and movies.

Review: This is God himself.Make no distinctions about it.I have heard from many so called "Audiophiles"(basically a bunch of losers who think earth shattering bass and big balls is all there is to life) that Bose products are a waste,they are useless,they are over priced,bla,bla bla and the works.that is until i entered the Bose Store in Uptown,Bangalore,with my Pink Floyd DVD.Once it started playing "Shine on you crazy diamond", time stood still.Believe me.No one moved for another 6 mins,and that is the power of Bose,my friends. it is just different.it is just too good.it makes a clear distinction between hard bass,and depth bass.You get clarity and the depth of music is amazing.this is for the true connosiuers of music.audiophiles included.
i suggest life isnt complete without a Bose.when u die,eventually,u will carry the musical tones in ur immortal journey to another world.
ps: listen to Cafe Del Mar Vol.7 and Buddha Bar VOL 4 CD1,when it is raining and is cold outside.u will experience bliss.u will experience a high that will put crack and extacy to shame.this is life.this is why we all live.eventually help ur soul get liberated,by the Bose.Jesus ain't do it man.Bose do.

Summary: Incredible sound! The best I've heard!
Review: When I walked into the Bose store and heard this system playing, I was overwhelmed. The crispness of the sound, frequency range, sound distribution, powerful bass... I immediately asked for a personal demo, and I was even more perplexed when they gave me the regular Bose designed demo where they show you the wonders that this system can do. The surround sound is magnificent, and even if you have a mono or stereo recording it will simulate the surround sound in the greatest way I could have imagined. I couldn't believe that I was listening to a 50's mono record in full surround sound at one point, and it sounded excellent! The demo of how the bass seems to come from the little speakers instead of the subwoofer is also very impressive. You hear the powerful and rich bass coming from this tiny speakers, but when they cover the woofer on the subwoofer you notice the bass is gone, even though it seemed to be coming from the little speakers! Pretty cool stuff. Not to mention these tiny speakers produce a sound that's better than regular speakers that are 10 times the size. Bose really hit a home run with this technology, and if you are considering it you definitely should go for it. I had never listened to music like I do now. It's a totally new experience. As for the new systems with 6 CD Changer or DVD player, it's your choice. I bought this unit because I just wanted the speakers and a receiver to connect my DVD player/mp3 player/computer to (although it does have a CD player), and this system was great for that, at the best price for a Lifetime system. If you don't have your own DVD player and you want to use it for that you may want to consider the others. Also, there are newer models of the Lifestyle system that come with some new speakers (jewel) that are even smaller (and more expensive). I tried these new systems and I noticed the small speakers could not produce a sound as crisp and rich as the lifestyle 12 speakers. The sound was much more metallic, like a cymbal, instead of being rich and velvety. If you're trying to decide, don't let this factor influence you in your decision. Just go for the one that's right for your price range and needs. And above all, go visit a Bose store and ask for a demo and listen for yourself!
