Description:
The HT-CN300 home theater uses recent design features to make the system compact and convenient. The system's main unit integrates a multichannel amplifier, Dolby Digital and DTS surround sound decoding, and an advanced DVD-CD drive into a powerful subwoofer cabinet. Since most elements are self-contained, the only hookups required are the individual cables running from the central units to the five wall-mountable satellite speakers. The main unit pumps 30 watts to each of the satellites and the subwoofer driver (or 26 watts from 60 to 20,000 Hz with an impressive total harmonic distortion spec of less than 2 percent). An advanced learning remote controls grants full control of the HT-CN300 as well as other system components and can be programmed to control numerous TVs, VCRs, and other devices. A remote IR receiver grants remote control of the subwoofer/main unit even when it's placed on a floor or against a wall, optimizing bass performance while saving space. The system decodes and plays back the latest DTS- and Dolby Digital-encoded 5.1-channel soundtracks. Dolby Pro-Logic decoding enables surround sound performance (left, center, right, and monaural surround) when using analog sources like a TV tuner or a VCR. A single set of auxiliary analog-audio inputs accepts an output from a VCR, TV, or other device. The FM-AM tuner offers 30 station presets with automatic station setting. Disc playback formats include DVD-video, audio CD, and VCD.
