Summary: Overpriced: Included surround and center speakers useless
Review: As a previous reviewer mentioned, I too have a problem with the included center speaker. The sound produced through it, even with the source supporting pro-logic, is rather fuzzy. The center speaker is only 20 watts, and each of the two surround speakers only 10 - their sound is weak, and adds very little to the overall listening experience. The two main speakers are the only substantial equipment (outside the main unit, of course) which produce decent sound. They have built in subwoofers, which work excellently. The two included main speakers are both 50 watts.
The main unit itself is outdated. It lacks CD-RW and MP3 CD playback. It is equipped with Dolby Pro Logic I, which has been replaced with Pro Logic II. It also lacks sufficient sound editing features. You can choose between 3 presets - that's it.
In conclusion...this unit isn't really worth your money. It was overpriced when it was new, and now you can get better equipment with a smaller investment.

Summary: Great System... but don't pay full price.
Review: I got this system 2 years ago. It has been the best Mini-system I've ever used, but I'm glad I didn't pay full price for it. It's a huge improvement to hear my video games in full Pro Logic, and the speaker system is ample. The only problem I had was that the center speaker got fuzzy. That's ok though because it has a "phantom" mode that emulates a center speaker. This system is perfect for somebody who wants a decent mini-system for not-too-much... if you get it used.

Summary: aiwa stereo system
Review: We purchased this system because it seemed to offer the flexibility and features we desired... like digital and cable interface. However, in no time at all -- after the warranty was out, naturally -- the disc changer stopped reading discs and seemed to develop a mind of its own.

It's time for another system, evidently. We won't buy this product again. I hate to say it, but maybe cheaper is better -- especially if you're going to be buying one of these every eighteen months.
