Summary: Features?
Review: This is an excellent film - really really REALYY good.

So, why only four stars?

Well, this is the DVD. There should be loads of features - obvouisly they're going to bring out a special edition sometime soon (I mean - no directors commentary? Come on, we all know Quentin Tarantino just can't stop talking, so the easiest thing would be to get him to talk you through the film).

Still, the quality of the DVD is better than the widescreen DVD of Pulp Fiction, but we could have done with something more for our money...

Summary: This movie is AWESOME!
Review: I loved this movie, not only because it was funny, but it was also suspenseful and unpredictable. It featured a cast of great actors and great acting. It's a terrific flick that everyone needs to see.

Summary: The best movie I've ever seen.
Review: This movie is one of the greatest pieces of film ever made. Its dialoge is the most realistic I have ever heard on film and the acting is way above what you see in any film in the past decade. The actors are all superb on their own and the combination defines on-screen chemistry. Its subtle plot twists and timing can only be truely understood upon seeing the movie several times. It gets better every time you watch it.

Summary: One of the greatest films of all time
Review: This classic story of a robbery gone wrong is one of the best films I have ever seen. Not only does it beat out Tarantino's others Jackie Brown, Pulp Fiction, and True Romance, but it even beats some of Scorsese's classics like Goodfellas, and Taxi Driver. This movie is easily the best movie by Tarantino, in my eyes only Scorsese's Casino is better, but only by a hair, if you like Tarantino and have yet to see this movie, your insane, and even if you hate Tarantino still look into it, it's america's violent classic, along with Casino, which I strongly suggest you also check out while your at it.

Summary: The best heist movie, ever!
Review: If you liked HEAT or RONIN, you'll love this little gem. Be aware this is mostly a man's movie where the violence is REAL. The thing I liked best about this flick is the fact that the actors are like real life bad guys. It is no big deal to blow someone away and torture and beatings come naturally. The viewer truly never knows how the characters will respond or how the flick will end. This is a real masterpiece and a definite must for anybody who likes "real" action flicks. By the way another review on amazon claims that nobody uses swear words like these characters. What nunnery did that reviewer spend their life in? In my opinion the dialogue was not only realistic, but the joke routine about the cops in the men's room was true to present day "outlaw" form. This movie is definitely gritty and few viewers will be able to listen to "Stuck in the Middle" again without conjuring up visions from the torture scene.

Summary: A great movie, but unfortunately not too original
Review: I would give this movie five stars if not for the fact that the story is stolen. There is a Chinese movie called "City on Fire" where a cop infiltrates a jewel theiving ring about to pull a big heist, only to befriend one of the members and get shot during the robbery. Sound familiar? But I still give it 4 stars. The dialogue and characters are totally different, and they are wonderful. The characters interactions with each other are great. Fortunately the only stolen aspect was the basic storyline. Other than that this is a wonderful movie.

Summary: Easily one of the best
Review: Easily one of the best films of the nineties, if not the best. Quentin Tarantino has a way to smash open a door, with Harvey Keitel carrying a dying man on his shoulders, that will defy any other director presently alive. Half film, half theatre, with some of the best dialogues one can imagine, the best one-liners ("are you going to bark all day, little doggie, or are you going to bite?"), this is a rare "all male movie". The female in it lasts for exactly one second, while she is dragged out of her car. Good idea actually, because in Pulp Fiction Tarantino tried to introduce women and mostly wasted a lot of time. (Fortunately, my DVD player has a fast forward button.) Tarantino is good with gangsters, real or imaginary, never mind. They speak cool, act cool (special mention here in this film for Harvey Keitel of course, and Steve Buscemi). The only objectionable scene (torturing a policeman) could have been made more palatable, frankly, even if everybody knows "this is a movie", it is still "over the top". But everything can be pardoned after seeing the introductory scenes, the breakfast, in which they make fun about Madonna's "Like a Virgin" and when the whole cast, dressed in black suites, black ties, walks towards us in slow motion. Man, what a film, what a director!

Summary: Tarantino...need I say more?
Review: Okay, this movie is the bomb. That's pretty much all I need to say, but it's just so cool! My favorite dog is Michael Madsen (Mr. Blonde). I loved the part where he tortured that cop! And he pretty much has the coolest death in the whole movie. Great acting and an even better screenplay make this movie a must-see!
