Summary: classic gangster flic...
Review: A great movie but for some reason the movie starts off in AC 3 (dolby digital) then after like 30 seconds, it switches back to regular dolby surround. hmmmm

Summary: Really quite good
Review: Scarface is an excellent movie. No, it's not as good as such other crime epics as, say, The Godfather and Goodfellas, but it's close. It goes on for almost three hours, but it never seems to drag at all. Very entertaining and well-written by Oliver Stone (which was a tiny bit surprising to me, although I am a fan of Mr. Stone's films). Also has great performances by Al Pacino (as always) and Michelle Pfeiffer, as well as others. All of it is good. There's a massive amount of violence - this movie could still be quite offensive to some (it doesn't come close to offending me), by today's standards. It's quite a good movie.

Summary: WATCHHHHHHH IT !
Review: What a movie this is. If you haven't seen this movie you are missing out on one of the best mob fims ever. The story of Tony Montana, a young Cuban coming to America to fullfill his dream. To get the money the power and the women. Al Pacino as always is excellent, he truly shows his excellent acting abilities in this film. Michelle Pfeiffer also makes an appearance in this film as Pacino's love interest. Its along film, almost 3 hours but it goes by very quickly. Some key words that desrcibe this move are: power, money, drugs, sex, violence and definetely not for the faint hearted. I would highly reccomend you buy the dvd copy from right here at Amazon. Watch it with your mates.

Review: What a boring movie, the majority of it was a quiet and calm movie. Based on what I am used to.

Summary: PACINO AND DEPALMA ARE A MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN
Review: There is nothing more to really say about this film; Pacino is the greatest actor of the 20th century without a doubt. Unlike the second rate Robert Deniro, Pacino does not become slowly typecasted as he ages, he becomes more diversified. This work is reflective of his purposely aimed goal of selecting roles that stretch his talent to the farthest perimeters. Not knowing Pacino's film history when I first viewed this film, I had no idea he was not Cuban. That is how well the film was played, every syllable and mannerism was depicted with full bravura, much like the Pacino I know. The brilliant stylistic eye of Brian DePalma is the other element that defines this film's beauty. If you want to see a superb collaboration of this team, see "Carlito's Way," which some believe is a undeclared sequel to Scarface. The similarities do lie there, yes, and purposely so. Very few actors like Pacino and directors like Depalma come along in the same century, so appreciate this film for the epic drama that it truly is. My hats off to you, Mr. Pacino...you are officially and undisputedly the greatest actor of all time.

For a better understanding of Pacino, see the movies: Cruising, Panic in Needle Park, Bobby Deerfield, Scarecrow, Dog Day Afternoon, Serpico, Author Author, The Godfather Trilogy, Donnie Brasco, The Devil's Advocate, Sea of Love, Scent of a Woman, Revolution, Heat, Looking for Richard, Two Bits, Carlito's Way and The Insider.

Summary: Classic gangster epic from the 1980s.
Review: "The World Is Yours" says the blimp that catches the eye of gangster, Tony Mantana, played magnificantly by Al Pacino, in Brian DePalma's 1983 film, "Scarface". While not quite supperior to Oliver Stone's (who scripted this film) "Wall Street", "Scarface" does a fine job dealing with the excess that would later define the 80s. While containing the stlye that would also define the 80s (music, clothing, clubs) and extremely graphic violence (graphic shootings and that buzz saw scene), the film has become a cult classic in the 90s. Tony Montana (Pacino) is just off the boat from Cuba. A couple of months go by and Montana and his gang are running drugs for a crime boss. Problems arise between Tony and his boss when he starts showling his loyaly towards an international drug kingpin and he falls in love with his boss's girlfriend (Michelle Phiefer). By this point in the film it is obvious that Tony is not going anywhere but up. But he gets so high up that he succumbs to his own business and becomes addicted to coccaine which costs him almost everything in the end. This film does a fine job with using the coccaine business as a way of explaining the excess of the 80s. Due to its very graphic language and violence this film is not for younger viewers and my not even agree with older audiences. Some people will find it appauling while others will find it extroidenary such as I did. Pacino gives an excellent performance which makes it a must for his fans.

Summary: THE BEST MOVIE EVER MADE
Review: People ask all the time, "What's your favorite movie?" Scarface, with Al Pacino, will be that movie for you. There is not a finer piece of film making in existence. It's a top-down MASTERPIECE; Casting, plot, cinematography, sound editing, ACTING, drama, romance, action, depth, etc. Scarface is the most well-cast movie in the history of film. YOU WILL LOVE THIS MOVIE. Best Scene? Right after Tony's wedding when the wedding party walks down to his private island in the back-yard where he's got his tiger. GO, TONY, BABY... you got that tiger! This movie will make you cry... because after you see it, you will be disappointed in every movie you'll ever see again.

Summary: Bloody and Brilliant
Review: How any man, after snorting that much cocaine, and then being shot a hundreds times with machine guns can still stand is quite hard to believe. It doesn;t matter though as hes Al Pacino and can do anything he wants. A great film which only really tells you that crime doesn;t but does show some political background. A film to watch over and over again by one individual any way.
