Summary: Definitely worth seeing. Spacey steals the show...again!
Review: What makes a great movie? Gripping plot, credible script, fascinating characters, and talented acting. 'The Negotiator' has it all. Not to mention the music or the photography, which were also excellent. Samuel L. Jackson's performance was one of his best; most of the other actors also did very, very well.However, my opinion is biased concerning the acting, because one of the leading actors happens to be Kevin Spacey. His portrayal of negotiator Chris Sabian is the work of an exceptional actor in top form; his uncanny ability to fit seemingly any role, to make the dull parts of the script good, and the good parts better, is apparant here. Spacey is, without a doubt, not only the best actor on the scene today, but the best actor that has ever lived. Yes, I said 'ever.' And I mean it. It was his work in 'The Negotiator' that made the movie great. It was his gestures and expressions, nuances in voice tone and inflection, (all that classic Spacey stuff, as those who know his work will agree) that made his character Chris Sabian 'real' to the audience. Such an exceptionally talented actor should get so much more attention than he does. He certainly deserves it. Okay. If you haven't seen 'The Negotiator' yet, you don't know what you're missing. So I'll tell you. Your basic intense, action-packed, plot- and character-driven movie, with a few twists thrown in along the way. And no, it's not the stereotypical blood-soaked action film that parents forbid their kids from seeing. Intelligent script, memorable dialogue, and I know you heard me comment on the acting. Sounds good? Do yourself a favor. See it. You won't regret it. Please, feel free to email me for any reason.

Review: Kevin Spacey never misses a beat -- he is actor extraordinaire. He is simply superb and makes even a mediocre movie worth watching. I enjoyed this movie but felt it could have a deeper plot. We want more Kevin Spacey. And I join so many others in saying he is the best actor around. I am convinced he could play any part to perfection.

Review: This was one of the most disappointing movies I've bought on DVD. Perhaps my expectations were too high after reading all the rest of these reviews, but I found it incredibly boring and predictable. I gave the DVD away after watching it.

Summary: Samuel L. Jackson + Kevin Spacey = an excellent thriller!!!!
Review: Kevin Spacey is probably the best actor in Hollywood and SamuelL. Jackson is high on the list to so if you place them both in thesame film you get an excellent acted film. But not just the two leads give stunning performances but the whole cast do as well. The directing is super and the set pieces are brilliant. A great script that mainly relies on dialogue is placed in the capable hands of F. Gary Gray. The action scenes are magnificent and the end twist was one that i wouldnt of guessed in a million years unlike some predictable ones like snake eyes. All in all its a fantastic film.

Summary: Excellent actors, brilliant twist!
Review: The acting was faultless. It was great to see that J.T. Walsh was still giving his finest up to the last. OK, so Kevin Spacey is my favourite actor, but I still think I'm objective enough to say that his timing was faultless. The comedic piece with his wife and daughter had me laughing out loud, as I could see my family there in a few years time! Samuel L Jackson is, as always, wonderful. The way he portrayed an honest man willing to go to any lengths to prove his innocence was great. these two should work together again! The other scene that will stay with me is the faces of the cops outside the house. But the best part for me, with all the tremendous acting aside, was the outstanding twist at the end. I never saw it coming. Kevin Spacey deserves the romantic lead he's looking for; if he can act action hero he can do anything!!

Review: O.K so when I went to see this movie I was looking forward to it because I really think Samuel L. Jackson and Kevin spacey are good actors but his movie is so predictable and dull and boring. People are just saying hes guilty and the only thing that was interesting to me is.... not much. By the way the ending sucked.

Review: Mr. Spacey happens to be my favorite actor, and this movie just happens to be my favorite. I recently purchased just about every one of his movies from Amazon and I am certainly glad I did! Now I don't have to wait for them to appear on television. The acting in this movie is excellent; in fact, there wasn't a bad actor in it. Samuel Jackson, David Morse and Paul Giametti, to name just a few, are really terrific. I just loved the way Kevin acted and looked in this film; he was perfect - personality was absolutely great, as if that is his real personality - nice, pleasant, in control, intelligent, etc. This movie is action packed and keeps you on the edge of your seat. There certainly isn't a dull moment in it. Don't want to give the story away - so buy the VHS!
