Summary: One of the greats
Review: Bonnie & Clyde is one of my favorite classic movies, and even though I am only 15 I can tell a good movie when I see one.Even though the movie has some historical mistakes this movie is very good.

Summary: a true classic
Review: This movie is truely won of the best films ever made. Despite its age it's still an excellent movie. Even at my young age (13) I can tell it's one of the best movies ever made. I thought this movie was going to be another old and long boring movie untill I watch it and saw how good it was.

Summary: Stll a classic, but see it in context
Review: I remember going to the theatre as an impressionable teenager in 1967 and sitting through this movie 5 times! I think it's probably hard for younger viewers to understand why "Bonnie & Clyde" made such an impact--there were BIG debates among critics at the time. There's even a case where one of the weekly magazine critics panned it one week and changed his mind and praised it the next. Part of the furor was over how it portrayed violence and violent characters and how it mixed comedy and drama. Early in the film in one of their comically botched hold-ups, Clyde shoots a man point-blank in the face through a car window. That was incredibly shocking at the time! Nothing had been seen like that before; and it was being done by a character we'd been set-up to like. From this point in time, the movie looks pretty tame--even naive. The locations and scenic design are still outstanding--which makes the widescreen DVD all the more appreciated--although Bonnie (especially her hair) looks more a product of the 60s than the 30s. And the finely-edited "dance of death" at the end remains strangely beautiful and horrifying at the same time. (PS: And keep in mind, this is a fictionalized account; it wasn't meant to be a documentary.)

Summary: CLASSIC!
Review: This movie is definitely one of the best ever made. No matter how many artistic liberties were taken in portraying Bonnie and Clyde, this movies is a true classic!

Summary: only ok
Review: Please keep in mind this is not part of the A&E Biography series, this is a movie. From the beginning, movies have always, I repeat, always taken liberty with facts. So unlike some earlier reviews, I was not disappointed that the movie skipped some facts. But I was disappointed in the movie itself. The critics have built this movie into one of "The Great Ones". Yes, the movie is rich in the technical areas, but I don't think the movie could decide whether to glorify them or to demonstrate how self destructive and crime obsessed they were. It was all I could do to finish the move.

Summary: A fiction-based story
Review: Although the film production and acting is wonderful for its time, I was deeply disappointed in the historical inaccuracies of this film. Not only does the story vaguely follow the correct timeline of events, but so much of historical facts are left out that I felt cheated. I think Beatty did a fantastic job in his portrayal of Clyde, but I couldn't help but think the casting of Dunaway was made in error. Yes, she is a fine actress, but at their deaths, Clyde was 24 years old and Bonnie was 23. I couldn't help but notice how much older Dunaway appears in the film in comparison to Beatty. Even the smallest details of their lives were either left out or misrepresented unfortunately.

Summary: Excellent story, fullscreen crystal clear video.
Review: In spite of its age this movie stands the test of time. The fullscreen version features a crystal clear picture. I wish all DVD transfers were this good.

Summary: A good laugh with a load of action
Review: This is my first review. I enjoyed this film: it's really funny although it's not a comedy. The action sequences were great. The shoot outs and car chases make the film. Get a load of mates round and watch this DVD - I think everyone would love it!!!

Summary: C&B Clyde and Bonnie and Cars and Bullets
Review: Warren Beatty's best, I think. This film was able to focus on the oddball personalities of people and still make them believable. Especially enjoyable are the performances of Gene Wilder (Yes THAT Gene Wilder) and Denver Pyle. If you like the exciting bluegrass background music be sure to get the CD "Fifty Years of Bluegrass." Faye Dunaway fans will like her other biopic, "Mommie Dearest." Michael J. Pollard devotees will find him in "Melvin and Howard" if you look fast. Laughs and action. Tom Willett
