Summary: A piece of work!
Review: Pulp Fiction is one of the best films I have ever seen. It is very surreal and amusing at the same time. I know this movie has been trashed by self-proclaimed moralists, but the film is a vivid reminder that the world is not the way we want it to be.

John Travolta stole the spotlight; his portrayal of Vincent Vega is, by far, the best work he's ever done. Samuel Jackson was also great. I also enjoyed Bruce Willis as the boxer -- his performance was quite impressive. I also enjoyed Uma Thurman and Rosanna Arquette in their supporting roles.

I recommend Pulp Fiction. The acting, the incredibly witty script, and the way it was put together is a piece of work! This should be on everyone's DVD collection.

Summary: No Point?
Review: Several of the negative reviews on this page seem to claim that "Pulp Fiction" condones crime and that the film has "no point". This is an absolutely ridiculous assertion. Whether the fact that all of those bullets missed Jackson and Travolta was actually an act of God is debatable... What isn't debatable is that the character that recognized something wrong with his line of work and retired kept his life and that the character who continued a life of crime was killed. How does this condone crime? The people who watch this movie and think to themselves "Gee, I want to grow up and be a gangster" are the same people who watch "Platoon" and wish they were in Vietnam.

Just for the record, I really like this movie. (though not one of my all time favorites) I put one star down so my review would get read. Those who were bored with this movie really need to see a doctor about their attention span.

Summary: Might be the best film of the 90's
Review: This is dark-comedy at it's finest. Whenever you find yourself laughing at something that you shouldn't find amusing, you know you are watching a good movie. This was also John Travolta's resurrection. He is incredible as Vincent Vega. Sam Jackson is also hysterical as Jules. Overall this film keeps you wrapped up and interested. You only see all the significance if you watch the whole thing intently. Great movie.

Summary: Can't we have any *less* than 1 star?
Review: Color me different...but I thought this movie was the worst waste of 2 hours I've ever known in life. If there was a plot, (and I don't remember seeing one) it was lost in the endless panorama of violence and evil and everything that is dark and base and ugly.

I see absolutely no redeeming values hidden anywhere in this movie. No message, no meaning, no deep thoughts, no subtle nuances to be mulled over - no nothing.

What a waste of resources.

Summary: ONE OF MY FAVORITE MOVIES OF ALL TIME
Review: I have perused through the reviews here on Amazon, and was not surprised at all to see how many people hated this movie. I believe PULP FICTION is one of those YOU EITHER LOVED IT OR HATED IT movies. For those of us who have a truly open mind when it comes to movies and are able to stretch the mind as far as it will go, for those of us who are fans of Tarantino, those of us who love an original film that has alot of violence, humor, and probably the best script in motion picture history PULP FICTION is one of the best, if not THE BEST film of all time. Forget CITIZEN KANE -- Was PULP FICTION even on AFI's top 100? PULP FICTION has got amazingly talented actors who portray their characters with total perfection and they all deliver their lines so cool.. so perfectly cool. The only Oscar that this movie received was BEST SCREENPLAY, and it definetly deserved that. It should have been BEST PICTURE. I think Quentin Tarentino is one of the best directors, best screenwriters, and he is actually not a bad actor in the movie. I truly thank him for coming up with the idea of PULP FICTION so movie fans like me could have such an amazing piece of celluloid history to view continously, and quote often, and just plain LOVE.. If you are of the closed minded, and have to have your movies all be easily laid out for you beginning to end-- you will hate this movie. PULP FICTION RULES!

Summary: You feel that sting, BIG BOY?
Review: If there is one thing that you must do, go out and get the widescreen version of Pulp Fiction. After seeing it, I come to the conclusion that all movies on video should be shown in this way. There is much more to see. Vincent and Mia are shown talking in the car at the same time, as well as dancing together. You can even see the reaction of all parties involved in reviving Mia from her comatose state. The extra scenes at the end are a nice payoff. As for the movie, I love it. All the performances are right on track. Everyone gives 110% in their respective roles, especially Ving Rhames (who's characters are always eclectic from Don King to Luther Stickle). My favorite story, though, has to be "The Gold Watch". Willis is great as the "palooka" that runs into one mishap after the other in an effort to get his watch. The soundtrack is also very nostalgic with "surf" music and oldies but goodies. So go get this widescreen version, enjoy it with a Big Kahuna Burger and a "tasty" beverage. You won't be sorry (or maybe you will depending on your tastes).

Summary: Good movie but....
Review: Movie was good, but strangely the DVD is in lame letterbox format (which actually has the horizontal black bars recorded into the movie, giving you less resolution).

Most newer movies are in (superior) anamorphic widescreen format (which gives you the entire widescreen picture without sacrificing quality), but not this one. Hopefully the DVD producers will "wake up" and do it right the next time around.

Review: Than five stars,I'll stick with the majority, this is an amazing film.It has an all-star cast of stars that we have used as a household name for years.Samuel L. Jackon"Jules" and John Travolta are two hitmen that do what they need to.Bruce Willis"Butch" just have a normal life. They all lead up to a odd but well ending that will have you talking about for years. This is great film that should be viewed by nearly everyone.I highly suggest it."You really do not know me,so take my thoughts for what you think."Have a good day.....

Summary: One of the Best of the 90's!
Review: This is truly one of the best films to come out of the decade. Not much new can be said that hasn't been said before. The performances are all magnificent. The multi-story scenario is intruiging and becomes much easier to grasp upon second and third viewings. But the real reason this film is so well liked and critically appreciated has to be because of the incredible dialogue. It is truly one of the best and most daring scrips in contemporary American movie history. The screenplay certainly deserved the Academy Award, and is itself well worth purchasing. An all around fantastic film which seems to get better the more often it is viewed. Never a dull moment!

Summary: Thank God That The '90s Are Over
Review: What a mess. There were quite a few memorable lines, but even they could not redeem this atrocity. This film will go down as the perfect example of 1990s "style" - ugly, disrespectful, violent, colorless and disordered. And don't chalk up this negative review to the age of the viewer; I am a man who was born in 1970.

In addition, how many of you parents out there have noticed that this movie was released by a DISNEY subsidiary (Miramax)? Walt must be spinning in his grave at how subversive his organization has become in the last two decades. For every family feature it produces, Disney/ABC/Miramax/etc. is now putting out ten productions akin to Pulp Fiction. They are no longer on the side of families.

Quentin Tarantino should wake up and realize that he's not a teenager anymore.
