Summary: Very Cool
Review: What a great movie! What makes this such a fine film? Maybe it's the style? How it keeps you interested to the end? The very likeable characters? I really loved this movie. There's a reason why all those big names were on the movie. Because Tarantino knows what he's doing.

Summary: Simply Incredible!
Review: Quentin Tarantino's amazing movie which he wrote and directed as well as played a cameo role in, is one of the best movies ever made. I mean it! The film feels like it was written and directed in a white HEAT, showing how truly great a talent Tarantino really is. Peppered with outrageous humor, characters, and situations, PULP FICTION is a masterpiece. The movie revolves around several characters whose own personal stories finally interweave with each other. John Travolta is unbelievable as Vincent Vega! Superbly played, he can be despised and loved at the same time. Equally incredible is Sameul L. Jackson's performance. In one mesmerizing scene where he is pointing a gun at a guy who has messed with the wrong man, he recites a passage from the Bible, the camera never leaving his face and his eyes never blinking. I nearly fell out of my seat! Uma Thurman is great as the beautiful but drug-addicted wife to Marcellus Wallace(Brilliantly played by Ving Rhames). One of the best performances in the entire movie is that of Bruce Willis, who finally shows that he is truly much more than just an action star. Harvey Keitel astounds as The Wolf, the man you call when you've got a problem. Although he only has a few minutes on screen, he is awesome. Christopher Walken provides a wonderful cameo in which he explains to a younger version of Bruce Willis the way his father died. Amanda Plummer and Tim Roth make a dynamic duo as bank robbers, and Maria de Medeiros is very effective as Fabienne, Willis's girlfriend. Eric Stoltz and Rosanna Arquette are very good in their small but important roles, as well as Steve Buscemi in his very small and unrecognizable role as the Buddy Holly waiter. Tarantino won an Oscar for his screenplay, and he definitely deserved it. Go out and rent it or buy it. Worth it!

Summary: DVD Sucks but Be Patient
Review: This Pulp Fiction DVD is terrible, don't buy it, the movie however, is smart, clever, great, all those things.

A full-blown Pulp Fiction collectors edition is soon-to-be released, by the end of the year, it will probably contain two discs, one for the movie, one for special features, it'll have commentary, 5.1 or better sound, interviews, production notes, trailers, everything you'll ever need. So be patient, wait for the special edition. If you can't wait (like me, hehe), buy this one, and then when the special ed. comes out, sell this and buy the special ed.

I hope I was helpful in this 'review'

Summary: Blah...
Review: So many people said so much about this movie--it was evensupposed to be in the "top 100 films" according to AFI--so Isuppose I was expecting too much. Still, how can a movie be sooverrated by so many people? With the exception of Bruce Willis'scharacter I didn't care about any of the people in the film and it wasjust so, so obviously trying to be "hip" and"outrageous." Trying too hard--it came off lame a lot of thetime. I wonder if the so-called appeal of this movie won't wear offthe more the years go by; it might end up being to the nineties whatmullet haircuts and skinny ties were to the eighties--"cool"at the time to certain types of rather unsophisticated people (theherd), but quite embarrassing later on in a "what the ... were wethinking?" kind of way. And, goodness, is this movie ever long!Rent before you buy. END

Summary: Garbage
Review: It is disturbing that a film riddled with senceless violence, chronic drug abuse, and heartless cold blooded murder can somehow be considered as one of the years best films. I am confused how Quentin Tarantino can simply glorify these social ills in a perveted fantasy, and then be annointed as a cinematic genius. I can not appreciate how this trash can be put on film and still be mistaken for "talent". The vulgar lifestyles of the main characters are sickening. Two common thugs murder while mocking religious scriptures, then they accidently murder another and are more concerned about the stains in the car upholstery? What kind of story is this, and why is it considered entertainment? I'm no prude and I'm certainly not a saint, but this is the kind of rubbish that give the US and Hollywood a black eye. This is a distubing film and a sad commentary on the decline of the audience values. One of the year's best films??? Sorry, I don't get it.

Summary: Loved the movie, disappointed by the DVD
Review: I thought that this movie was unlike any other that I have seen. It surprised me, fascinated me, and really did a lot to entertain me. So, the movie alone gets 4-5 stars...

But that is not what this comment is about. The DVD package as a whole was a sad disappointment. There were no trailers for Pulp Fiction (I remember one being very good and worth including). On one videocassette version, there was a section dedicated to cut scenes (one cut scene was Mia interviewing Vincent on their first meeting) which is a staple of DVD's in general. But not this one. How can you let a video show up a DVD? This would have been the perfect movie to have a director's running commentary, to give his motivation and ideas about his film. That too is absent.

If you are not into the extras, then this DVD will be just fine for you. But I want other possible purchasers to be wary of what they are getting into and understand what exactly they are buying (I wish that I had done more research). The manufacturers may try to pull the same trick they did with Animal House and Conan The Barbarian: release a version quick and dirty, then release an extras-rich version some time later.

(Note: this was before they released the new DVD with all the cool extras.)

Summary: Now that is a tasty burger
Review: Clearly one of the greatest films ever produced. Comparable to only Reservoir Dogs for its greatness.

Summary: A simple view.
Review: If it isn't the best movie ever made, completely superior to all other movies, social icon that it has been quoted as, why would everyone use it as a reference for how good they're movie is? And if any other movie actually is better than this, why isn't that movie being used as a reference?
