Summary: good. But!
Review: Why in the name of all things holy is this special edition cheaper than the regular one? Buy it. I got shafted with the original edition, which is still very good... but I'm not going to buy the special edition now to get all the extras. Irritated? Yes.

Summary: Bad movie, hot girl.
Review: The only redeeming qualities of this movie is Catherine Zeta Jones' stunning face/body and some nice scenery. The scenes of the heist in Kuala Lampur as well as the Scottish castle scenes had some incredibly picturesque backgrounds. However, the plot is convoluted to the point where the "tense" moments lack suspense because the viewer is too confused to figure out what is going on. The director attempts to bombard the audience with plot twists but there are too many twists and turns that don't really seem to make any sense. The age difference between Connery and Jones detracts from the believability of their romance. If you're looking for a movie about a heist, go with Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo in the Thomas Crown Affair.

Summary: This is an awesome movie
Review: Entrapment is an awesome movie that I really enjoyed watching. If you ask me it is one of the best movies of 1999. The cast & crew did an excellent job making this movie, and the special effects in this movie are really awesome. Also the story is weary good, and another thing I like about this movie is that it hath a whole bunch of high-tech gadgets that give it a very specific and interesting character. Also when you combine such brilliant actors as Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta-Jones, the result is bound to be excellent. So I strongly recommend you watch this movie, and I am sure you will enjoy it.

Summary: not worth buying!
Review: this movie's only redeeming part was when Catherine Zeta moved thru the lasers. Sean Connery was too irritable and boring. Someone young should have played him. Otherwise this movie was dry as the Sahara Desert.

Summary: Jones and the writer need to take some Drama 101 classes
Review: There are three kinds of non-simpletons who will like this movie: huge, nondiscerning Sean Connery fans; males who have a crush on Catherine Zeta Jones; and die hard fans of action adventure movies. However, if you are looking for a movie with a clever plot that makes sense or skilled acting, you will need to look elsewhere.

The plot of this movie has a very unsatisfying, implausible ending that basically seems like the writer just ran out of good ideas an hour too soon. The interactions between Connery and Jones are just too forced and lacking in chemistry; the famous/infamous laser training scene exploits Jones' attactiveness, but there is little else during the beginning and middle of this movie to keep an average viewer's interest.

Connery does a standard job here with his acting, meaning that he does it quite competently and his charisma shines through the dull script, but this is essentially an amalgam of his more mediocre roles. Jones, however, is very stiff and does an average high school drama club level of acting. Her struggle to conquer an American accent pretty much saps all of her thespian skills and she gives the impression of being a non-actor trying to break in to the movie business.

Although this is a bit of a cliche, any of the old Bond films would probably be more entertaining than this one.

Summary: Pretty conventional really.
Review: I finally got around to watching this film, but it turned out to be just okay and nothing great to be honest. I gave it three stars because it wasn't poor. The acting by everyone wasn't a problem. I just think that Entrapment should have been more original, intriguing, and exciting than it was. There were some good parts here and there though and it held my interest enough to where I didn't get bored. Good enough to be satisfying, but once was enough.

Summary: Good Caper Flick, Rent it First!
Review: This is an OK movie, but it could have been much better. The plot is plausible and the dialogue is not as good as other similar films. The action scenes are nice and exciting, but never get you 100% involved. Sean Connery is getting to old for this, and I don't buy that a woman like Catherine Zeta Jones Would fall for a guy as old as Connery's character. Zeta Jones turns in a surprisingly good performance and Connery makes the most of his natural charm. The movie could have been much better, but it's not bad either, rent it first. If you like 'heist' films I recommend 'The Asphalt Jungle' or 'Topkaki'. From a scale of 1-10 I give it a 6!
