Summary: Overviolent action farce
Review: This is the best example of Quentin Tarantino's art, a brew of deliciously violent action, amoral characters, farcical situations and extremely eloquent exchanges. It includes bravura performances from Dennis Hopper, Christopher Walken, Brad Pitt and -- unforgettably -- Gary Oldman as a pimp who thinks he's black and says that his mother is "an Apache."

Summary: Awesome Tarantino!
Review: Another great movie from 'screenwriter' Quentin Tarantino. I didn't see this movie at the theatres, because I thought that it was going to be another corny, bad love story, but wow, was I ever wrong!This is a fast paced story with an excellent cast, and I even liked Patricia Arquette even though I am not her biggest fan. She has a phenomenal scene near the end where she gets beat up, and like other scenes written by QT, it is amazingly real (and of course, violent). This movie also has one of the scariest scenes that I have ever seen in a movie, when Gary Oldman and Christian Slater face off. Maybe it's the music playing in the background, or maybe it's the dialogue, but either way, I was on the edge of my seat. This is a standard Tarantino script, with excellent dialogue and characters, but I wonder what it would have been like if he would have directed?

Review: Tarentino at his best, excellent cast, somewhat amusing story lines, too many cameos to mention, definite diamond in the rough even if it didn't include, and I can't say this strongly enough, the best scene in modern movies. The scene is absoulutely riveting and Walken gives his best performance ever, in true Walken style, only to be matched by Hopper. The faces and mannerisms that these two actors project make this scene my absolute favorite, for any serious fan of acting and dialogue this is an absolute must see. The movie is a 4 star at best, but this scene makes the movie a classic. Check out Gary Oldman as well! This movie even makes Christian Slater look good....

Summary: Tarantino's best, except...
Review: Well, what can I say, a great freakin' movie. Now, I am not the biggest Tarantino fan, but I do love this movie and Pulp Fiction. The thing that draws me to his movies is the dialogue. It's the way people really talk! Political correctness is thrown out the window, along with any censorship of gratuitous violence. And isn't that what we really want? If you want censored films, watch Disney. If you like the whole action film thing, this movie is for you. If you like the whole love story thing, this film is for you. If you like movies with multiple stars-you guessed it, this film is for you. This movie is so good, it has background characters such as Brad Pitt, Dennis Hopper, Christopher Walken, and Val Kilmer. Background characters! I didn't even recongize Val Kilmer as Elvis (just watch the movie) until I watched it for like the third time. My only real complaint on the DVD is that it was not recorded in 5.1 surround. This movie is what 5.1 surround was made for! I was probably overly disappointed about that, but otherwise, there is no reason to not buy this if any of this information interests you.

Summary: Biggest Star-Studded Film Of The 90's.
Review: Apocalypse Now would have probably never been surpassed as to having so many great actors brought together to make one incredible film. But True Romance did just that. Okay, it's not exactly the greatest film of all time, come on now. It's just a fun movie to watch, especially if you're a film buff. With each turn, a new superstar emerges and delivers one of his/her greatest performances in a great long while. Maybe it's the naturality of the dialogue in Tarantino's script; I consider it to be his best yet! Of course those of you who've seen the movie... you know what I'm about to say. The greatest scene in the film? Come on. You know what it is. The Hopper/Walken scene! Yes! While it's certainly crude and offensive and not found in your average Disney flick, this scene is the gem of this 2 hour romp. I can't really say what it's about, but it's really incredible how well the chemistry between two great actors and one helluva script come together. Gary Oldman is pretty freakin' good in this movie too. It's only ashame that so many great actors didn't get enough screen time. Still, it's a really good movie and well worth the few hard-earned bucks needed to dish out for it. Simply a must-have for Tarantino junkies.

Summary: Long Live Floyd the Stoner!
Review: This is a film filled with memorable moments and wonderful dialogue. The plot centers around the love affair between Clarence(Christian Slater) and Alabama(Patricia Arquette) and the merry mixups that occur when, after shooting Alabama's pimp, Clarence grabs the wrong suitcase. Thinking he was grabbing his wife's bag of clothes, he instead grabs the suitcase full of coke the pimp was moving for a local mobster. And thus ensues a cross country adventure that involves the mob, the DEA, a movie producer, and a cool looking purple cadillac. Oh well, these things happen sometimes. Anyway, there are too many standout moments to count them all, but the two most memorable are: Dennis Hopper explaining Sicilian heredity to mobster Christopher Walken and of course Brad Pitt smoking a fatty bong load out of a honeybear when the mobsters come to ask directions.

CHRISTIAN SLATER, PATRICIA ARQUETT, GARY OLDMAN, DENIS HOPPER, MICHEAL RAPPAPORT, BRAD PITT, CHRISTOPHER WALKEN, VAL KILMER, SAM JACKSON, CHRIS PENN, THAT FUNNY GUY FROM PERFECT STRANGERS, CANT ASK FOR A BETTER CAST CAN YOU? THEY ALL GELL TOGETHER TO PROVIDE THE MOST THRILLING COMBINATION OF PURE ACTION, ADVENTURE, AND LOVE EVER SEEN ON THE SCREEN. THIS MOVIE IS MORE THAN A 5 STAR, IT IS A MOVIE FOR THE AGES.

Summary: Entertaining remake of "Badlands"
Review: I'm a fan of Tarantino for the simple fact that he's never denied being a theif. He's just the best theif there is, currently. This updated version of Terrence Mallick's wonderful "Badlands" brings back many elements of the original (mainly the music and voice-overs) but pressents them so obviously that you'd have to be stupid to think Tony Scott or Tarantino were trying to pull it off as their own. Whether you want to call it hommage, rip-off, or borrowed, it works in this film and made it that much more enjoyable.

Summary: Surprisingly great for Film buffs!
Review: Alright, this is a good movie. It's not the best of its kind, but it is entertaining and has some great scenes (you can read the other reviews to see what I'm talking about). But what I liked best about the movie was the various bones it throws to film buffs! Clarence (Slater's character), is truly an action film buff! The film has Patricia Arquette watching the amazing final scene of "A Better Tomorrow 2"! And Clarence is a big fan of the "Street Fighter" series! See how many movies you can identify in this movie! I actually liked this aspect of the flick the best!
