Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Worthy of repeat viewings
Review: Better than average. By today's standards the chase scenes are tame, but we should remember they established a higher standard for their day. McQueen plays his part with reticence, perfect for a cynical cop walking the edge of burnout. The commentary is not feature-length, but it is interesting.

Summary: A Must-See Film
Review: This film is fantastic. The chase scene is worth it and keeps the viewer on the edge.

Summary: Buy Bullitt
Review: Mcqueen is a brooding detective (Bullitt) who is protecting a witness who is very important to a big time lawyer, Robert Vaughn (Chaulmers). A fantastic car chase ensues and the ending keeps you very involved. Very stylish and stands out as one of the best cop/action films ever, from 1968 to now.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Number 1, with a BULLITT!
Review: Steve Mcqueen is very cool, especially in this one. The car chase between Bullitt's mustang and the bad guy's charger is wild. A very stylish and action packed film. For Mcqueen fans, cop movie fans, and or car chase fans.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Still great after all of these years.
Review: I saw the movie when it first came out and hadn't seen it for a number of years until recently. It still packs a whallop! Steve Mcqueen couldn't have picked a better role as Lt. Frank Bullitt. A no-nonsense cop who is trying to solve a double murder while fighting politics in order to complete the investigation. It still has a great car chase.

Summary: The film that set a standard few have acheived.
Review: Most people have heard about or seen Bullitt and many focus on the car chase. For me the true genius of Bullitt lies with Paul Yates and his groundbreaking direction. From the opening scene to closing shot, angles and framing of scenes are unbelievable. The uncompromising realism combined with a fast paced plot are complemented smoothly with the development of the principle characters (mainly Bullitt and his girl but also Bullitt with Chalmers) See it, you will not be dissapointed.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: A good movie but poor video quality
Review: This is a good movie for its age, but the video quality of the DVD is not that great. If Bonnie and Clyde can be done so well, it is around the same age, why can't they get this one right.
