Summary: Amazing finale
Review: I've only seen this film once, but the final shootout is amazing - I eagerly await the day I can see this film on a surround sound system. I occasionally find myself disturbed by pointless violence - the cop's ear in Reservoir Dogs, and the curbside killing in American History X for example. The early bank truck scene here kinda gave me that feeling too, but I'm glad it didn't cause me to stop watching. (History X is outstanding, too.) I'd give it 4.5 stars, but apparently can't.

Summary: Enthralling "Days in the lives of Criminals" movie!
Review: This will probably be rated as one of the best crime dramas of the 20th century. The lives of the criminal element are examined in detail: their interaction with each other, their families and their friends/associates, police, and the general population. There are many surprises in the portrayal of the criminals- generally they are multidimensional and have unexpected "nice guy" attributes just when I was prepared to expect them to be at their worst.

This movie also contains a lot of technical realism. There is a long running gun battle wherein the crooks are in an open, running fire-fight in a city. The bullets are flying, and more importantly, one can see the brass ejecting from the chambers of the guns, and there is a continuous sound of brass tinkling on the streets. Also, one will notice the reflected sounds of the gunfire from the buildings, as well as realistic sounds of bullets penetrating car bodies. Impressive foley work!!

Don't get me wrong. This is not just a special effects movie. It has a very good, very intracate plot, but the viewer has to pay attention all the way through, lest one will miss many significant details, artfully woven into the movie.

I have seen this movie 4 or 5 times, and I am going to buy it when it is available!

Summary: The best action thriller in a long time
Review: This movie is the absolute best of all time. All of these talented actors in one great movie is unbelievable. No one could have done it better!

Summary: THE GREATEST CAST/MOVIE EVER!!!!!
Review: When you have a killer cast like this, how can you go wrong? This movie combines drama, action/adv., and is a heart stopping thriller. De niro and pacino give a great performance and the camera shots and angles are great. 5 stars doesn't even rate how well this movie is made. I would check it out sometime and see the great actors in this masterpeice!

Summary: Ridicously Awesome
Review: This movie has a mafia feel, mostly due to DeNiro, (my favorite actor ever), who is spectacular, as is Pacino. It pulls you in and the three hours fly by, (unlike a ship sinking or something stupid like that). If your home theater is half-way decent, you'll absolutely love the gunfight at the bank...trust me.

Summary: The Best Crime Drama Ever Made. PERIOD!
Review: Written and directed by Michael Mann (Miami Vice, Last of the Mohican's, Thief) this is as good as it gets. With Pacino & DeNiro on board how can you go wrong? A phenomenal production in all categories with an excellent script, great music, and breathtaking action, including a very well done bank robbery sequence. They don't come any better than this!

Summary: slickest, glossiest, yet most character-driven movie made
Review: This is the movie that made me want to make movies! An all-star cast with many stellar performances--Pacino and DeNiro sharing the screen simultaneously for the first time ever, plus a never cooler Val Kilmer, a never better Tom Sizemore, and a never hotter Ashley Judd (not to mention a pre Phantom Menace Natalie Portman)--Michael Mann's tour de force of the L.A. Cops and Robbers scene catches all the stars at their best---and who can forget the most intense shoot-out ever captured on film---filmed in actual downtown L.A.---as a matter of fact, to guarantee the film's authenticity, no soundstages were used! These are all real locations. If you've never seen Heat, see what may be the most overlooked, underrated film of the 90s.

Summary: I think it is the best movie ever made in history!!
Review: This movie kicks ***! It has an excellent story line. Three Great actors star in the movie, Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, & Val Kilmer. Has very long spectacular shootout, that is at least 10 to 12 minutes long.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: WILL YOU FIND BETTER? NO.
Review: The best 3 hours you'll spend watching movies at home. Gotta love that film score, too! This movie has style to spare. Director Michael Mann ("Manhunter" -also great) may well have made the best cops-n-robbers film ever. Intelligent, thrilling, and, in my opinion, the reason i go to the movies in the first place.
