Summary: Expect the Unexpected
Review: Just when you think you have everything figured out. The plot in Swordfish thickens. This is not a movie to take a bathroom break in. The movie is like The Godfather meets Enemy of the State. Swordfish is fast paced with lots of action and violence. Get a babysitter because this is not a movie for kids and go enjoy yourself. John Travolta has redeemed himself from a long string of disapointments and Hugh Jackman is the sharpest looking computer geek of all time. Ms. Berry was paid lots for her role and now I see why. WOW!!

Summary: Decent - no "Matrix"
Review: Good Flick, but only Good. Maybe I'm having a bad day, but it just didn't grab me like I was hoping it would.

Summary: Better Graphics than the matrix?
Review: This movie was action packed, brimming with excitement keeping you on the edge of your seat. This is not a movie you want to take your grandmother to. This movie has everything I mean everything. The movie opens with an explosion that will make you and the cast of Matrix quiver. The plot structure wasn't half bad, but it's not going to win picture of the year. The worst part of the movie was the ending which made you leave the theater not think good thoughts, but the rest of the movie is great for the action seeker. So if you love tantalizing and titalizing movies you'll love this movie, and it is well worth $8.25.

Summary: Intelligent Thriller
Review: I'll never trust another newspaper review of a film again. Almost everything I read was negative. But I found this to be an action packed, intelligent thriller of a film. John Travolta is at his bad guy best in a subtle' is he or isn't he pure evil' performance. Halle Barry has got to be one of the most beautiful woman on the planet, the camera loves her, all of her. She gives the best performance I've seen her give in "SWORDFISH". And don't even get me started on Hugh Jackman. He came to most peoples attention as 'Wolverine' in "X-MEN". This men has so much talent and charisma there should be a law! And as Diane Sawyer of 'ABC's Good Morning America said, "He's so handsome!". Yes he's got it all. And shows off most of it in "SWORDFISH". Some (read woman) may find "SWORDFISH" a bit testosterone driven. You know the old 'my gun is bigger than your gun' thing. "SWORDFISH" is still a very enjoyable film in an over the top 'you've never seen it done like this' kind of way. I liked it.

Summary: What a Rush!
Review: Just got back from seeing the rollercoaster called, "Swordfish" John Travolta has really found his new niche in films, the Bad guy. This film has so much action on so many levels I really believe you have to see it twice just to catch it all. Travolta captures the audients with a grip that keeps you nailed to your seat, he's the bad guy, you love & hate all at the same time. The story is filled with twists and turns you almost feel like your along for the ride, and boy what a Rush! Oh yeah Hugh Jackman plays a ex-con hacker sucked into the plot (literally) hatched by Travolta and Ms. Berry add's her own personal touch. It's DIE HARD with a twist of Broken Arrow.

Summary: swordfish
Review: This is john Trovolta at his best. Swordfish makes Pulp Fiction look like My fair lady. The action is spellbinding, and it also parallels the plot. Oh yes, it has a plot! It keeps your interest thru the whole movie. This is John Trovolta's at his best. He play's a bad guy like no one else. This is a must see for die hard action fans. Don't miss it!

I've already ordered it for my collection....

Summary: I watched it for Drea
Review: I rented this so I could see Drea De Matteo, and sure she has only a couple scenes, only a few lines, and so on, but I loved her in it. It's cute how they did the irony thing with her talking about parental fitness while she makes porn and drinks and can't even be there when her daughter needs a ride. Also, she get whacked (preparing for when Adriana gets it? HA HA).
See this for her, and Halle Berry's boobies, and forget the rest.

Review: Here are some things you probably know about "Swordfish": It features some wildly exciting action sequences. John Travolta is not wearing dreadlocks but the classic "Pulp Fiction" (1994) cut. Yes, Halle Berry goes topless -- and so does Hugh Jackman. There's a nice twist at the end of the film. John Travolta plays Gabriel Shear, a super spy, and is playing the same standard bad guy he played in two films directed by John Woo, "Face/Off" (1997) and "Broken Arrow" (1996). "Swordfish" was directed by Dominic Sena, who began his career directing MTV music videos and flashy commercials. Berry plays Ginger, how original. She is Shears exotic and mysterious partner in crime -- or is she? Besides her impressive golf skills, she does have some good acting skills and breakthrough screen time with co-star Hugh Jackman from "X-Men". To sum up her acting ability in this movie, I'd have to agree with the words of Beonce' from Destiny's Child, "She's too bootylicious for me.". Jackman takes on the persona of Stanley Jobson, a world renown computer hacker who's our unlikely hero. He's just been released from jail and now he's a penniless, jobless bum living in a trailer with a low-wage job. So Ginger is sent by Shear to recruit Jobson to hack into a special Drug Enforcement Agency bank account which holds billions of dollars in drug money -- money which was taken from dealers and used in sting operations given the code "Swordfish." The secret account has been dormant for years, just collecting interest -- a tidbit of information that's attracted Shear's attention. Now he can bankroll his grand, egomaniacal anti-terrorist plans. Of course, Jobson has no interest in the proposal until he's given an offer he can't refuse -- obtaining the custody of his daughter. Critics have said this movie to be a sophomoric rendition of a wannabe "Matrix" film. I think this movie deserves some credit for keeping me guessing and leaving me breatheless during many of the action scenes.
