Summary: Decent, but Unworthy of the Cast
Review: "The Bone Collector" is yet another movie that can't live up to the action, plotting, and mastery of the book from which it's adapted. The cast is great, and their talents almost make up for this sluggish, and at times boring, drama....but not quite. In general, the movie stays true to the book, but it lacks the latter's rich character development. Who are these people? For two hours you watch them scramble to find some nut, who turns out to be not as smart as he and everyone else thinks he is. Jolie and Washington are powerhouse actors, but their chemistry, in this film at least, doesn't wash. By the end, you're rooting for the killer.

Summary: Scary....
Review: filled with suspense and intense action, the bone collector is an absolute winner in its genre this year. it is scary. very? yep but not scary in the way when you are watching the scream trilogy. the images stay in your mind. i remember the few days after i watched the bone collector, my heart dropped just when i walked close to a taxi. you must know why if you have watched the movie.

denzel washington is on the bed for 98% of the screening time but he still impresses the viewers as he is a fine actor, and in the hurricane later this year, he proves that he is the one who should have grabbed the oscar. angelina jolie is a policewoman, formerly a young model. she shines in the movie though the chemistry between denzel and her seems to be rather weak.

Review: When i watched this movie, i thought in the end the killer would be somebody else's more bigger and scary, but i was wronng the killer just wanted to revenge, he was just a doctor and not that big, i can say short and thin guy. Regardles of what he did, supposed to be the killer is more spooky.

Summary: Mediocre at best
Review: This movie was extremely disappointing. It had a really good plot and momentum but the ending made the previous hour or two a waste of time. When I found out who the murderer was, I was still wondering: who? why? how? And in this case, that wasn't a good thing. I adore Denzel Washington and was expecting something amazing. His acting, and even Angelina Jolie's, was good but even impeccable acting cannot save a dismal plot.

Summary: One of the best
Review: I read over some of the other reviews putting this movie at an "average" rating, but I kinda disagree. First off, I think the director and producer put this movie together perfectly. In case you do not know about this movie, Ill start off by describing it a bit... The main theme lies in the thriller/mystery department, so if you like these kind of films, you will most definitely like this movie. The two main charactors in the movie are Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie. Denzel plays a disabled Crime Scene Investigator and Angelina plays a rookie police officer who laters finds out her talent as a crime scene investigator. The setting of the story takes place in New York City (which is a perfect spot for this type of movie) and is cast in modern day life. Basically, the plot of the movie is about a phsyco murderer who, very strategically, plans killings by using his job as a taxi cab driver to kidnapp people. I dont want to get too in depth, but the good guys would be Denzel and Angelina and a few other police bureau workers who try to solve the mystery behind all the kidnappings and hopefully get to the crime scene in time to save innocent people. You might have preconcieved notions about this movie being kind of average, but what makes this movie stand out is its outstanding film features. By features I mean, great music and excellent effects (everything such as lighting, settings etc). If your going to watch it, here are some VERY recommended suggestions...

1. Make sure its dark- 50% of the movies general "effect" comes from the ambience in which you watch it. 2. Watch on a fairly large television with a fairly good sound system. - try to get the best TV and sound system to watch the movie otherwise dont even bother with the movie. 3. Must get it on DVD! - Dont watch the VHS version, I saw it and its horrible. Film quality is bad and it doesnt include all the extras which tell about the Bone collector. Sound is also improved on DVD version. Any way you look at it, you need to give the Bone Collector a try. Great movie for all.

Summary: The Bone Collector, Revised Review
Review: The Bone Collecter is a good film, but I didn't like the ending. The explenation is of the killers motives is not on the same level as the rest of the film. The film starts out showing you the accident that puts Lincoln Rhyme (Denzel Washington) in his current situation. Now a quadaplegic, he has deadly seisures and a death wish. Rookie cop Angelia Jolie finds a murder victem with strange clues. With Rhyme being the best forensic anyalyst they have, the investgating officers bring the case to him. He finds where the next victem will be, but not in time to save the victem.Through the clues left by the killer, he finds that the killer is acting out a turn of the century crime novel "The Bone Collecter." All the murders are laid out in this novel. After the last written killing, Jolie finds that the next victem is Rhyme. As I said before the ending, murderer, reasons for the murders not as well done as the rest of the movie, but I reccomend you see it.

Summary: A great beginning, but a waste of an ending
Review: The first half of this film is terrific - dark, horrifying, suspenseful, captivating. You want to know whodunit and why (at least I did).

The problem is that somewhere in the middle of this story, it dawned on me who the killer was or might be. Turns out I was right. Which wasn't necessarily problematic.

It's the killer's reasons that were ridiculous and the lengths he went to in order to achieve his ultimate end. Far-fetched and ridiculous would be understatements. (It's somewhere along the lines of *Unbreakable* in terms of the absurdity of the "surprise" ending. - I'm basically assuming that from here on a "surprise" twist ending means "ridiculous, preposterous, absurd," etc.)

Denzel's acting was very good. As was Jolie's. Noyce's directing was very good.

It's just a lame ending to a movie that starts out very promisingly. Definitely no *Se7en* or *Manhunter*.

Summary: What an American ending!
Review: It was a nice script that went sour (or very sweet for that matter!), with performers too big for this movie. Everything was packed in a 2-hour duration, people went back and forth, with no actual coherence, the plot was pretty thick but so, so shallow and the final scene was ...frustrating, to say the least (compared only to the waving flag in "Private Ryan"). It's a great pitty, though, because the senario had every element to make a great movie, if seen from a more serious, "somber" point of view.

Summary: Good Film
Review: As always, Denzel puts on a outstanding performance. Denzel is a very powerful and profound actor. He does a very good job of bringing his characters to life. Angelina perfomed very well; however, they could have casted someone else in that role. I feel like Angelina has a little too much energy for a role like that.

Summary: Shame
Review: What a shame. Totally unrealistic and what a horrendous ending. Washington should have known better.
