Summary: An edge of your seat, nail-biting, guessing game!
Review: I can't understand how anyone could not like this film. It is a great thriller that keeps your attention through the entire film! Ashley Judd gives in my opinion, the greatest performance of her entire career! She plays a vulnerable, yet extremely strong character. Another cool thing is that she did all of her own stunts! And once you see the film you'll know that it was no easy task. This is one of the greatest thrillers ever made, don't miss out!

Summary: Formulaic Murder Mystery!
Review: This film is reminiscent of 'The Silence Of The Lambs' and 'Seven', both much better films. The editing, narrative style, atmosphere and screenlay are all handled wronly. The only good thing are the commanding performances by Ashley Judd and Morgan Freeman. Formulaic, tedious and overlong. Could of been better, but the ending really brings it down, it seems dumb and out of place. From a scale of 1-10 I give this film a 5!

Summary: This movie's okay
Review: Psychotic killer who collects smart, pretty girls is relentlessly pursued by a former victim and a cop. Surprisingly good with great performances by a great talented cast but the killer is VERY disappointing to say the least. Pizza and pepsi.

Summary: Better than typical
Review: Poet at heart serial killer chooses victims who he does not wish to kill (all girls) and locks them in separate chambers in a basement tunnel forcing them to later perform tricks for him. Detective/Psychologist who is the uncle of one of the girls follows the path of the abductions until it leads him to one of the victims who escapes and aids the police in tracking him down. Above average beginning and goes along being so until the usual elements slip in: two different culprits and a very disappointing killer. Judd and Freeman do what they can and well enough to make this a so-so thriller.

Summary: Racist, Rehashed Garbage
Review: I can't remember any major Hollywood movie to ever deliver such an anti-white message as this slick racist rant, glossed over with a plot so predictable you've seen it a million times on TV. Every white person in this movie--with the exception of Ashley Judd--are all so red-necked and bigoted that you watch them in disbelief. Yet, every black person in this Afro-Centrist screed were so sweet, heavenly and martyred that I was surprised they didn't create computer-generated halo and wings. Yes, they suffer. Oh, how they suffer and weep. Can't some modern-day filmmaker ever portray a real-life person of color without making them unbearable martyrs? Or so weak, they have to have a brave, white amazon like Ashley Judd to come to their rescue? We expect this hate-filled-for-whites garbage from a no-talent Spike Lee. But from a major studio and a so-called major cast? I've visited this particular police station in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and I can promise you, the racist behavior exhibited on the part of cops as portrayed in this progagandist movie would have them all fired within a day. There are dozens of civil rights and black rights groups in that area always on the lookout for even the slightest suggestion of racial condesention. My politically correct friends here in New York--of all skin colors--were also astounded by the deviously slanted portraits of whites in this movie. This is a movie that should be shown in sociology, psychology and history classes on how to dessiminate racist propaganda under the guise of a Hollywood thriller.

Summary: THE DERIVATIVE CLIMAX DIDN'T BOTHER ME THIS TIME....
Review: AND IT WAS ALSO MORE ENTERTAINING. MORGAN FREEMAN AND ASHLEY JUDD GIVE ASTOUNDING PERFORMANCES ALONG WITH THE WHOLE CAST.

Summary: I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!
Review: I was blown away! This movie kept me gessing and pondering, who is Cassanova??? Find out for yorself!!

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: A stale derivative and wearily predictable.
Review: Nothing very original here I'm afraid. It's a potpourri of themes taken from a dozen or more psycho-thriller dramas that's preceded this: The Collector, Dirty Harry, Silence of the Lambs et al. I recommend 'The Collector' made in 1965, directed by William Wyler, as an absolute stand-out classic film in this genre. See this film, it will truly chill and shock you without the cliched Hollywood gimmicks that are so de rigueur today. I agree with other critics' comments about this film being 'hackneyed' and deja vu.

Summary: Judd and Freeman team up for great film.
Review: I have to say. I am very critical about my thrillers. Don't get me wrong. They are my favourite, but they have to be VERY good. So for me to have liked this movie, it had to be VERY good. And guess what??? It was VERY good.!!!!!!! I simply loved it. Freeman once again outdoes himself in playing a detective tracking down a serial killer. When one of his own family members becomes the next victim, he turns to the only one he thinks can help him,: An escaped victim of the killer and also a doctor, played by the one and only Ashley Judd.

Rating: 4 stars
