Summary: AWFULLY BORING!
Review: This movie must have been one of the greatest snores of the decade. It just did not have any substance to it. I was hardly riveted to my seat as I was watching this. The film was very slow and there were very few parts the I actually enjoyed. I do not know why this movie got high ratings.... but for me, it was one of the worst in some time.

Summary: Amazing tale of triumph and salvation
Review: Who can possibly deny that this movie should have won an Oscar for best picture in 1994? This is by far among the greatest masterpeices in the history of film. From the beginning moments of Andy contemplating murder in his car, to the final glorious reunion in Zawantaneo (is that right?), this film moved me. I experienced the gamut of emotions. The characters were brilliant and alive, as well as the cinematography and music. The original score, similar to those done by John Williams (Star Wars, Indiana Jones), added to the suspense and energy. I must admit that I am not a big Tim Robbins Fan, but his performance in this film was more than sufficient, and Morgan Freeman blew me away as usual. If you haven't seen it yet, you don't know what you're missing! Get it now!

Review: This film is just great, everything about it, the plot, the actors, how is made, this is an incredible film. I just got surprised how can the Academy Award honored Forrest Gump instead, this is a film that really makes you think, it makes you cry, it makes you laugh, and it just makes you feel great. 5 stars all the way, one of the best movies ever.

Summary: Too much movie and too few surprises
Review: I love Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman, but this movie took a very long time to say "Absolute power corrupts absolutely," "Prison is a bad place to be," "The human spirit is a miraculous thing," and "People can change." We rented it because we'd heard such good things about it; I guess it makes a nice change if you don't usually watch this sort of movie, but if you've seen other films in which someone is the victim of injustice, you'll probably be bored.

Review: I would indicate this movie for everybody who is disencouraged or wants to see how powerfull the human being can be in turning what they believe real or simply making their dreams come true!
