Summary: More than five stars
Review: This is by far the best adaptation of King on-screen, and also one of the most wonderful films I have ever seen. All the actors seemed to live and breathe their roles. I usually have the annoying habit of wanting to know how long it would take until a film ends, but that was a question that never popped into my head during the course of this film. I've seen the eighteen reviews before me and I've read many of them giving a synopsis of the film. I will steer clear from that and simply say that I absolutely loved all the actors...Michael Clarke Duncan shone as John Coffey (good God that man's enormous), David Morse(Brutus), Dough Hutchison as the vile Percy Wetmore and last but certainly not least, Sam Rockwell as Wild Bill Wharton. He, as all the rest of the cast, was perfect for the role. People who complain about the length of the film don't really understand what The Green Mile is all about, I think... and what it is to me, is one of the best movies I've ever seen, and I will certainly see it many more times in the future. Frank Darabont, and everyone else who made The Green Mile exist- especially the main man behind it- Stephen King- I can't thank you enough. This is sheer brilliance.

Summary: High Class Movie
Review: The Green Mile was one of the best movies I have seen. I put it in the same class with The Shawshank Redemtion, which I thought was an excellant movie. I recommend that, if you have not seen this movie, do so now.

Summary: The Green Mile - reviewed by a non stephen king fan
Review: What a brilliant film! Not only does this film take into account thedisturbing view of a man in the electric chair, but it is also funny a lot of the time. I don't normally like stephen kings books or films but after I had seen the film I rushed out to buy the book, which is equally as good. The film throws up a lot of emotions, and don't worry if you do not like horror movies, this is not one. I reccommend this film to anyone!

Summary: Superb Acting
Review: This movie has perhaps the best acting in supporting roles that I have ever seen. The way that the guards communicate just by looking at eachother and showing facial expressions is fascinating. Particularly with "Brutal." I dont think there could have been a better cast then what is present in the movie.

Summary: A MILE YOU WANT MIND WALKING
Review: Oh my my my, what a excellent story we have weaved. There was not a better movie I have seen this year, coming from me that's a big compliment. I am a big Sci-Fi, Horror film person, but every now and then I will go outside my boundries for a peek at the other side(the things a women will make you do). This time I have to secretly admit I wanted to see this movie and in no way was I disappointed. This movie was brilliantly written and the acting was superb. I whole heartedly had to fight back the tears to keep up my appearance of manlyhood in front of other males in the theatre. I know you've heard this saying before, but if you only see one movie this year, make sure it's this one. Guys bring a handkerchief so you can pretend to be blowing your nose while you wipe up a few tears. YOU'LL LOVE WALKING THIS MILE.

Summary: The BEST movie ever made
Review: Before seeing the movie you should read the book. The book in no doubt is better than the movie. They changed a few things but they still get the point across. This book and movie will make YOU question the death penalty

Summary: I went home and wrote a poem about The Green Mile.
Review: I had no idea what to expect, but I was so touched by the message of this movie, I went home and wrote a poem about 'the green mile'. Life is a journey for all of us and 'the green mile' is the last road we travel before we die. I found the movie full of wisdom as spoken by the black man (e.g. the injustice in the world and how people hurt other people "it is like cracking glass in my head, I hear it everyday.") Please go see the movie and listen with your heart to the message of good vs evil. I am not a Stephen King fan, but this one is worth the time.

Summary: This is not a bad movie
Review: The Green Mile is a very good movie. Tom Hanks does also in this movie, as in many other movies, play very good. I do not like so very many of Stephen King's books/movies, but this is one of the ones I like. I hope that this move will get many Oscars. It's very exiting. I could maybe have given the film 5 stars. But It's not a movie in the Forrest Gump class. The only negative thing in the film is the look at Chrisianity. The movie shows that God punish. That's wrong. But what I want to say is that if you have not seen this movie you MUST do it sometime!

Summary: More gold for Darabont
Review: Considering 'The Shawshank Redemption' is one of my all time favorites, I was much looking forward to 'The Green Mile'. I loved the book, and I love Stephen King in general. This adaption is a wonderful followup for screenwriter/director Frank Darabont. The acting is roundabout superb. Particulary good performances from Doug Hutchinson and Michael Clarke Duncan (who got an Oscar nod, well deserved). Tom Hanks is good as usual, as are Barry Pepper and David Morse. The directing is perfect, with some spectacular lighting and cinematography. The theme itself is a sad one, and the movie is a definite tearjerker. It isn't quite as an uplifting movie as Shawshank, because it is much darker. Perhaps the most moving performance of the movie is from Mr. Jingles, the mouse who pays the guards and inmates a few visits here and there. Great job.

Summary: Comparison with the book serie
Review: This film is the best movie version of a Stephen King's novel. You may have read 'It', or 'The Tommyknockers' and enjoyed it, and then got disappointed with the movie result. But in the case of 'The green mile', you'll be stuck in your chair, wanting it to start all over again for you to pick up every single moment of this pure success. The emotion of the book is in there, as well as great special effects that are fortunately not too present in this movie based on love and pureness. At last, I'll say that, even if the novels in general are better (in a sense of imagination liberty and content) than the movie version; this one must be seen. That's a Go-Buy-It!
