Summary: Watch closely and realize the comic genius of Knotts/Conway
Review: I just got the DVD of this movie and have watched it probably ten times in a week. I know I shouldn't laugh at these jokes. They are predictable, lame, and cliched. But I still laugh harder at this movie than almost any other comedy. Why? It is the men behind the jokes. Tim Conway and Don Knotts are made to act off of the other. These men are funny. They can take any tired line or dull gag and make it funny. That is all there is to it. They surround themselves with a gifted supporting cast who do their best to contribute to the laughs. This movie is just fun. It is not deep or complex, but it entertains. And that is a lot more than can be said for most movies today.

Review: I remember watching this one as a kid & love it just as much now as I did then. My childen (ages range from 4-10) love to watch it over & over! "Those two idiots" (Don Knotts & Tim Conway) make this film hilarious. I find myself laughing just trying to explain this movie to my friends.

Review: I was estatic when I saw that they were rereleasing "Private Eyes"! I can remember watching this movie when I was about 10 years old. It was hilarious! Then somehow I lost my copy. Ever since then I have been searching for it. I tried video stores, special order places, and the Internet with no luck. Most people had never even heard of the movie, let alone sold it. I had given up determined that I would never find it. Then one day as I purchasing items for my classroom, I decide to type it in and see if Amazon could special order it. That was one week before it was rereleased. Needless to say I put my order in. As I rewatched it, it was even better than before. I howled with laughter and had a good time reliving a childhood memory. I would without a doubt recommend this movie to anyone who is looking for a clean and hilarious comedy. Believe me you will not be disappointed!!!

Review: Just finished watching the DVD and am pleased. Still a great flick even better on DVD!! The picture is great as are the extras. I did have a problem with the audio. Throughout the entire movie, there is a high pitched frequency interference that 'pops' in and out periodically. I'm wondering if this is a bad disc or just a poor source transfer. Future posters please comment. Thanks!!

Summary: It's 20 years old and it still makes me laugh!
Review: Okay...I'll admit it. I loved this movie. It has a lousy plot and the jokes are old and tired, but it made me laugh. It still makes me laugh. I haven't seen it for years, but it some how still manages to be funny. I still remember seeing it for the first time, just after my parents got cable. Knotts and Conway are terrific together, and they really do make the movie funny. Their body language and mugging for the camera are great, and soon the plot really doesn't matter. I'll leave you with this little poem:Don Knotts and Tim Conway are two funny guy's... To own this movie would be very wise... It's been a while since this movie was seen... But pick up a copy and you will see what I'm talking about... (If you've even seen the movie, you understand!)

Summary: This is a long awaited re-release worth waiting for!
Review: This is one of the best comedies ever! I used to own this on VHS and lost my copy somehow. I was VERY disappointed because when I ran out to get another copy I found it was no longer available. I've been waiting for this rerelease and so have the many friends I've told about it because it a histarical comedy that you can watch over and over. Buy it and share it today!

Summary: Comedy/Mystery--Conway/Knotts
Review: I have been looking for this video for years. It has been a favorite of mine since I was little. The teaming of Conway and Knotts is a match made in heaven. I own "The Apple Dumpling Gang," but "The Private Eyes" is my favorite film of the pair. This movie is sort of quirky, but it can be enjoyed by the whole family. The scenes in Biltmore are beautifully filmed. I am sooooo happy they are releasing it again because the only other place I've seen it for sale has been on Internet auction....

Review: This is one of the best comedys I have ever seen and Don Knotts and Tim Conway are the best comedy duo since Abbott and Costello. It is fun watching Don and Tim bumbling there way through this movie trying to slove the mystery you'll laugh so hard you'll cry. So if you want to see a good comdy rent or buy this movie and you won't be dissappionted.
