Summary: Visually beautiful, but utterly devoid of depth
Review: I suppose the "point" of NBK (and Oliver Stone never makes a movie without trying to beat the audience over the head with a message) is that the title characters are at least honest about their bloodlust, while the media and society are more hypocritical-condemming it while secretely enjoying it. I say "suppose" because I'm not sure-this movie, though stunning to _watch_ (the different colors and film stocks are a treat for the eyes) has a huge gaping hole where a screeenplay should be. The key problem isn't that the title characters are so repellent-it's that every other character is equally repellent, and for the same reasons, which makes them all interchangeable. There is no real characterization (despite the efforts of a mostly superb cast) and so by the end, it really doesn't matter who lives or dies-which makes for a flat, uncompelling film. I give it 2 stars for the visuals and the acting-otherwise, it's forgettable.

Summary: Oliver Stone at his best
Review: NATURAL BORN KILLERS is the best movie Oliver Stone has done since "PLATOON" it's wickedly funny but I warn you it's not the type of movie squeemish people should see.

Summary: Idiotic
Review: The film that I heard so much about was from beginning to end, a waste of money and time. Graphically, mindless, stupid, and pointless violence makes up this film. NBK might be credited for the reason you dont see Woody Harrelson in any good movies any more. Actually none come to mind anyway. Oliver Stone is over rated, which is an understatement, because most actors and directors are these days. Oliver Stone, Tarrintino, and Araki and others come up with a series of violent sh-t and "offensive" images to show you, knowing that most viewers will be so "outraged" by it they'll forget the pointless plot. NBK was popular for its violence, there is nothing else in this movie. So if you dont enjoy graphic, bloody, mindless, violence, over and over and over, then dont see this.

Summary: Everthing you heard is true...
Review: This is a joyfully violent and outrageous movie, with fantastic performances from everybody (including Rodney Dangerfield as the Father from Hell). The story trips along in a bloody mosaic, following the love of the star-crossed lovers, Mickey & Mallory. It isn't that these two aren't murderous psychos, but that society (and the cops who hunt and cage them) is just as sick and twisted as they are.The fact this movie is already blamed for several real life killings just shows that Oliver Stone's vision rings true. We don't mind being a nation of victims, just as long as we get our faces on the evening news. Be sure to get the director's cut, btw, it has the true ending Stone wanted.

Summary: Possibly one of the best love stories ever told...

Summary: One of those movies that really make you think...
Review: My brother presented this movie to me, and I immediately became entranced. It was purely in the point of view of the killers and really made a point. For those who didn't see the point and depth in this movie, you are exactly the superficial, surface people who would watch a movie like Clueless.

Summary: An Excellent Film -- Not Pleasant to Watch
Review: This is truly one of the most captavating films I have ever seen but I am disappointed that it was not rated NC-17. I guess the commitee that rates films is apparently as desensitized to violence as anyone else who thinks this film was "fun to watch" rather than "had a serious message".

Summary: Possibly the coolest movie ever made!!!
Review: After trying for years, I eventually managed to get a copy of Natural Born Killers. Woody Harrelson and Juliette Lewis excellently portray a young psychopatic couple, Mickey and Mallory; who travel the States and murder 52 people in three weeks. These are turned into celebrities by the media, in particular Wayne Gayle (played by Robert Downey Jr).

The acting, from an all star cast, is superb and the direction, by Oliver Stone, is excellent. This is one movie you just can't afford to miss.

Summary: Provakative, to say the least
Review: The movie plays out like a twisted nightmare, and about halfway through, it becomes all too real. Although I thought the movie was VERY good, what brought to the point where I am writing an online review for it was how the country has been pointing its fingure at this movie for every murder aired live on CNN. I am even more pissed off with the fact that most of those doing the pointing haven't even seen the movie. The film is 100% original. It, for the first time, criticises our present culture and our obsession with violence. Sure the film is overblown and surreal, but that is the very nature of satire. Violence scares and entertains us at the same time, and that fact, shown so brilliantly in this film, is more disturbing than any of the violent images it depicts. This film is very important to see with a group or friend because it MUST be discussed and thought upon. Everyone should be talking about what this film says and stands for. What is the line drawn between entertainment and journalism, embellishment and truth, life and death? Pretty heady stuff for a comedy, but it is one of the greatest satires ever made. What kept our eyes glued to CNN during the Columbine crisis? Why did we have to watch that? Why did those kids do that in the first place? Was it because of the movie? No. My guess is that it was for attention, to go out with a bang, to release their anger to and in front of the world,to say in the loudest way possible: "Here I am!" This wouldn't be possible if there weren't millions glued to their TVs as it happened live. They succeeded in every way. The same station that will show a clip of Natural Born Killers and say "there's the culprit!" will turn around and show that clip of the wounded young man escaping through a window (the clip with the most suspence and blood) at the top of every hour. Natural Born Killers shoves this in our face and says "Just look at yourself. See how awefull this is? But you're laughing at it! See how easy it is for me, Oliver Stone, to make you laugh at it? But how much gore does it take to disturb fnally disgust you? To shake you into not being entertained any more?" Our culture is tragicly comical, and so is the movie. The final scene is brilliant and places everything together. What's the point that we'll finally reach with our fascination and obsession with violence? The film shows us a very likely scenario, and it is scary and ironic. The film tells us how little we think about what we see, and ironically, that's what caused this movie so many problems. The movie was terrifying and hilarious, and honestly, I don't really want to watch it over and over again. I would never buy it. But, by all means, see it. Oh, and one other thing, the direction and filming of this movie is beautiful and brilliant.
