Rating: Summary: This film contains the best scene ever filmed. Review: Very well paced film in which the story told could stand for life in our brave world. A world which we do not have a handle on anymore. The magnificent scene involves Angel driving her friend's car. The cops give chase because the car is reported "stolen". She can't lose them and swerves off the road, abandons the car and runs in the rain to escape. The cops chase on foot. She stumbles on the rocky terrain, but struggles on and then slips and falls just as the cops catch up to nab her. It's like a movie within a movie. And it summarizes to a large extent both the film and us in our world.
Rating: Summary: Great movie! Review: I thought that it was a really great movie, and recommend it to anyone... Before I saw the movie, I watched the series, and if you are watching the series and like it, you'll love the movie. You can see who came from where (sorry, there is no "sorcerer". END
Rating: Summary: A really good movie! Review: Lot's of Mac's, they filmed part of it at Macworld Expo! For anyone that likes computers, this movie, while unrealistic at times, is really cool!Of course, this only applies if you are a geek like me! END
Rating: Summary: Just plain bad Review: This movie was very heavy on the fiction. As a consultant in the "computer" industry, I couldn't get pass the disregard for realism. END
Rating: Summary: A horrible movie Review: This movie has a far-fetched and completely wrong idea of what technology is and how it works. It is based only in hollywood. Everything in the movie is geared to make the viewer think that this can happen right now, just outside your door (maybe to your neighbor); however, the integration of technology they display does not exist -- and in my opinion never will as long as people have differing opions on how to implement technology. I'd recommend this movie to anyone without anything better to do and who likes the countanence of Sandra -- she is perhaps the only saving grace of this movie. END
Rating: Summary: The tv-show was better Review: I remember when I saw this movie the first time I loved it, but ever since I saw the tv-show, this movie isn't much... I wish they just would release the tv-show on DVD, so I could watch it again...
Rating: Summary: The Net - The Movie Review: True to what some may say, "The Net" does tend to drift off in direction, but I LOVE this movie for two reasons:
1.) I am a HUGE Sandra Bullock fan
2.) The Macintosh - The dominating computer used in this movie(insert Apple logo here...option, shift, and K keys)
Rating: Summary: CYBER SUSPENSE Review: THE NET was one of the first movies to parlay our fear of lost identity via the internet, and it is a strong, suspenseful film. Sandra Bullock is excellent as the young woman who finds her whole identity changed, and her life in grave danger. Jeremy Northam departs from his usual good guy roles to play the devilishly evil Jack Devlin, the man after Bullock's disk and life. Dennis Miller does a good job in a supporting role as Bullock's psychoanalyst and former lover. The lovely Diane Baker (Journey to the Center of the Earth, Strait Jacket, Best of Everything) makes a nice cameo as Bullock's mother, suffering from Alzheimer's. Baker's performance is understated and demonstrates why she was such a staple in the 60s studio movies. Mark Isham donates a nice score, and Irwin Winkler's expert direction keeps THE NET moving and involving.
Rating: Summary: Wow , The best Movie from Sandra B. Review: What a wonderfull movie, what a suspens!!!! very good movie! 5 star movie. Sandra B. gave us a good performence in this movie. Excelente! Highly Recommended!!!!
Rating: Summary: not worth it Review: This is one of those movies that they show on late night TV, just to fill the slots. And you could watch if you can't sleep. Otherwise it is not even worth renting, let alone buying. I am sorry to say this because I think very highly of Jeremy Northam and I think Sandra Bullock is a decent actress. But the story is so weak and full of cliches that even they can't carry the movie. My view is that the conspiracies just bordered on the absurd. There is a sign on the screen and you see all this secret information when you click on it -- give me a break! And they could have taken her out so many times during the movie and yet they didn't. Please. The plot was just too weak and full of holes.
