Review: This is one of the greatest movies of all time. The suprise endings are so creative, I just love it!

Summary: "Yep, two corpses ...Everything's fine"
Review: Okay, I know there's so many reviews for this movie already here, and so my opinion of the movie probably doesn't even need to be here. But I think just the fact that this movie has been reviewed by two hundred people as of now, almost all giving it a 5-star review, is alone a testament to how many people are impressed by this film.

Clue is a Paramount Pictures' whodunit film that puts less emphasis on solving a mystery and more on non-stop laughs, gags, and one-liners. And believe me, there's more comedy packed into this hour-and-a-half than you can shake a stick at. That doesn't mean you can't try to solve the murder case yourself either.

The main theme of clue is quite dark. All the familiar people from the game (Peacock, Green, Scarlet, Mustard, etc.) are invited to a dinner party at a huge mansion. There, it is not only revealed that they are all being blackmailed, but also that it's all being done by the host of the party, Mr. Boddy! Early in the movie, Mr. Boddy is murdered, but there's a problem. The act was committed with the lights turned off in the house, and thus no one knows who has done it. Throughout the course of the movie, several others die, and the guest's efforts to find out who the murderer is also becomes a fight for survival. While the movie has this dark theme, the movie takes the deaths and blackmail so lightly, that it makes you forget that you're laughing at a subject so serious.

Clue takes all the one-dimensional characters from the popular board game and really fleshes them out, giving each one a distinct personality and style. The ensemble cast is one of the best I've ever seen, and each actor really owns their part. I can't imagine anyone but Tim Curry frantically explaining the murder at the end or someone other than the wonderful Madeline Kahn playing the dark black widow, Mrs. White. The rest of the cast is excellent too. They all have excellent timing; their deliverance on all their one-liners is great, and even just their facial expressions alone will have you laughing hysterically at times.

Clue demands repeated viewing, because every time you see the movie you'll notice something different. While the first time you watch it, the movie may come across as being really silly, after watching it again and again, you'll pick out things that you missed. There's a seemingly endless string of gags and sight jokes throughout the movie, and I'm still amazed when I notice new things, even after I've seen it a million times. (whoops, I said I wasn't gonna say that . . . . oh well.) : )

Well, to make a long story short (too late) this is an absolutely wonderful movie. It is a smart, clever comedy, sprinkled with the old-fashioned mystery element, and should be a classic by any cinema-lover's standards.

Summary: One of my favorities
Review: I can recite this movie word for word. When I was younger, I loved the mystery aspect and board game connections of this movie. As I have grown into an adult, I appreciate the witty dialogue and comedic performances in this movie (notice that the Wadsworth's music never plays for Mr. Green at the end of the movie?) A great movie and buy.

Review: Here I thought I was the only one who LOVED this movie. I've seen it at least fifty times, and it has never gotten old. The dialogue is even more witty now: Prof. Plum works for the World Health Organization, i.e. the UNO WHO; Mrs. Peacock suggests that Mrs. White should have cut off the victim's head to make sure he was dead; and so forth. Some of these lines should be classics.

I can't understand why this movie itself is not a classic. You'll love this movie: True or false? True, who are you? Perry Mason?

Summary: Never will get old!
Review: A friend recommended this movie to me several years ago, so I rented it, watched, it, and loved it. It was on TV this morning, and after watching it again, I decided to write a review. If you have ever enjoyed a comedy movie or a mystery/suspense movie, you will love Clue. It combines the two in a very appealing way to make one amazing movie that is always fun to watch.

Summary: 1+1+2+1=5 Stars!
Review: This is one of my all-time favorite movies! Believe it or not, I actually use Clue as inspiration for my writing. Some of the comedy is so subtle that I'm still picking up on little tid bits 17 years later. For instance, Professor Plum (Christopher Lloyd) states, "No, I work for a branch of UNO, WHO, the World Health Organization." Since he pronouces UNO as "You Know", Professor Plum works for "You Know Who". But there's more blatant humor that has kept me rolling all these years: Mrs. White (Madeline Kahn), "I believe men should be like Kleenex: soft, strong, and disposable." Col. Mustard (Martin Mull), "Yep, two corpses. Everything's fine." Wadsworth (Tim Curry), "Mrs. White, no man in his right mind would want to be alone together with you." There's just way too much to go on.

The movie plays as both a mystery and a comedy, the two genres mixing extremely well in this spoof. One wishes the night to go on, with either more possible endings or another mystery entirely (hint: sequel). However, the three endings provided are extremely entertaining, the final displaying a wonderfully dramatic twist that keeps rolling with humor in transition. Mr. Green (Michael McKean), "I was going to expose you." Wadsworth, "I know, so I choose to expose myself." Col. Mustard, "Please, there are ladies present."

Who killed Mr. Boddy? Better yet, who did Mr. Boddy kill?

Summary: Get a Clue!
Review: This has got to be one of the most hilarious movies ever made, I always laughed around each corner. The 3 endings were a little surprising, I would have never expected something like that. Mrs. Peacock and Ms. Scarlet always made me laugh, in the basement of the house in total darkness, Mrs. Peacock backs into a pipe, turns around and screams "Don't touch me!" and whacks the pipe hard. Then when they find the cook dead, Ms. White says,"Why would anyone want to kill her?" and Ms. Scarlet says, "Yeah, dinner wasn't that bad" If you haven't seen this movie, you've got to see it, an instant classic!

Summary: Clue-one of the best!
Review: Undoubtedly one of my favorite films. It's a great comedy, featuring hilarious jokes (though some are slightly stupid) and actors with a talent for cracking jokes. Anyone who likes the game is sure to be delighted with the film, and even if you don't like the game you'll like it. There are three surpsise endings, and each has a different murderer! The cast (in alphabetical order):
Eileen Brennan was simply hilarious as Mrs. Peacock ("No, just death. Isn't that enough?"). She really cracked me up every time she made a statement. Tim Curry made an excellent Wadsworth, the butler ("If I were the murderer, why would I reveal to you how I did it?"). My FAVORITE of all the characters
though has to be Madeline Kahn as the sultry Mrs. White ("It's a matter of life after death. Now that he's dead, I have a life"). Michael McKean sparkled as the dorky ... Mr. Green ("How can we possibly figure out which of YOU did it?!"). Martin Mull was a perfectly loveable Colonel Mustard ("You mean there isn't any confusion, or this isn't any one else in the house?"). Christopher Lloyd was good as the suave and silent Professor Plum ("Oh, shucks."). And finally, Lesley Ann Warren shone as the diamonds-best-friend gal Miss Scarlet ("Great! We'll all go to the chair!").
It's witty, funny, and laugh out-loud slapstick comedy. I urge you to see it!

Summary: This has to be the best film ever made
Review: Although this was made in 1985, it has to be one of the funniest, see again films that has ever been made. I have had a copy of this film made from the tv, for about 9 years and unfortunatly it has been watched so much that the quality has decreased dramatically, so this has forced me to actually buy a copy, which i did today and i can't wait for it to come!
i havent seen the first half hour or so for ages as it was taped over so i can't wait to re-meet all the characters.
i'm not gonna repeat the storyline as it has been told to you by the other reporters, but if you are deliberating whether or not to buy it, BUY IT definatly it is FANTASTIC!

Summary: This movie is AWESOME!
Review: This movie never loses its appeal after each time I watch it. The jokes, the chemistry between the cast, everything, it never loses anything.

This movie, a comedic spoof of the boardgame, is funny from the get go. Tim Curry plays the incredible butler Mr. Wadsworth and we are then introducted to Yvette, the maid, and Mrs. Hoe, the cook. From there we meet Colonel Mustard (Martin Mull), Mrs. White (Madeline Kahn), Mrs. Peacock (Eileen Brennan), Miss Scarlet (Leslie Ann Warren), Professor Plum (Christopher Loyd), and Mr. Green (Michael McKean). Each of the actors portray their characters in a very funny light.

The jokes, the connotations, inuendos, and word plays are down right hillarious and each of the actors hit their marks with their characters.

The three alternate endings are incredible to have on one disc.

From the get go, this movie is non-stop laughs.

To make a long story short... (Too late!) Get this movie, you wno't be disappointed. And you'll be laughing the whole night. It's a great comedy and fun laughs fro the whole family.
