Rating: Summary: Laugh Out Loud Fun. Review: People sometimes ask my opinions about movies. I am always obliged to give them. One day at work a friend of mine said, "What do you think about Clue?" I told him that I found the game boring and very tedious. Then he said, "No, the movie." I said it was very good. If you want my honest opinion on the movie, I think that there is only one element in the movie that makes it worthwhile. It's not the sense of tension that mounts when Mr. Body dies. It's not the frantic feelings they all feel trying to find the murderer. And it's not the whimisical yet suttle humor that bounds the movie togethor. It's Christopher Lloyd. Any movie with Christoper Lloyd is like toast with butter. Mr. Lloyd gives an Oscar worthy performance as Prof. Plumb. Although director Jonathon Lynn gave Mr. Lloyd his fair share of screen time, and dialoug the movie would have been that much more enjoyable if Mr. Lloyd could have been on screen at all times, and if he couldn't be on screen all the character should be saying, "Where's Prof. Plumb?" Clue would also have been more fun if Mr. Lloyd could have worn a wacky white wig, and took to saying, "Great Scott," or "Jumping Jiggawatts." So that's what I think about Clue. It's an okay movie. It would have been better if Christopher Lloyd were in it the entire time.
Rating: Summary: Outrageously hilarious! Review: I've never laughed so hysterically. So full of one-liners that you'll be ready to cry from laughter. This is the movie that made me fall in love with Tim Curry's acting. This is one of his all-time best performances besides Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Rating: Summary: The best movie in the world Review: Clue is just plain awesome. The witty remarks and jokes by the unbelievable cast make this movie a complete delight. Clue has everything- comedy, suspense, action and romance. Thus, at appeals to a wide audience. If you haven't seen this movie order now! If you have seen it you know I'm telling the truth!
Rating: Summary: This movie deserves more than 5 stars! Review: I've watched this movie over a thousand times, and I still love it. I love how the mystery has three possible endings, its always fun to determine what you think happened. Clue combines a great cast with a great plot. The story is puzzling, funny, and a fun-to-solve mystery, all in one movie. I highly recomend this mystery movie-its a family favorite that's sure to give you laughs for years.
Rating: Summary: Three Words: Clue is awesome! Review: Hello. I have seen this movie for the first time when I was 2. Of course, back then I didn't know what everything meant, but as I got older, I know, and I know even stronger that this is a really superb movie. If you don't like it, watch it again! It will grow on you! It made me laugh, cry(beacause I laughed so hard!), jump up out of my seat("scary" moments....when I was younger), and most of all want to watch it again, and again, and again...ect. With this great cast of actors, you will find that this has to be one of the best movies of all times. All I am waiting for is:Clue to come out on DVD. PLEASE PLEASE DO! Listen to the fans! I know the movie by heart, and seen it at LEAST 200 times! I recommend watching it with your friends!
Rating: Summary: Excellently done. Review: An excellent film. It is one of the few in the silly-senseless genre that manages to come off well, and with style. The cast, with the inimitable Tim Curry in the lead, does an excellent job, particularly Leslie-Ann Warren as the gorgeous Madam, Miss Scarlett, and the (unfortunately deceased), Madeleine Kahn as the mysterious Mrs. White; "Your husband disappeared!" "Well, that was his job, he was an illusionist." "But he never reappeared!" "Well, he wasn't a very good illusionist." The plot, while decidedly silly, is carried through with wit, finesse, elegance, and a fine eye behind the camera. There is a certain puckish delight, in doing an utterly nonsensical movie, and doing it well. One gets the feeling, while watching their antics, that the actors are having fun, and that they are doing a good job for their sakes, not ours. There is a charm in this film, of simple good humor, and that is a rare commodity. I would recommend this film to anyone who enjoys watching a job well done, even (or perhaps especially), in this category.
Rating: Summary: CLUE RULZ! Review: Clue is a riot from start to finish. I'm a huge fan of the film and of the merchandise! I have everything but the lobby standee and/or the video counter card of the house lighting up. If anyone out there has it, please email me!
Rating: Summary: The Greatest Movie in the World Review: This is my all time favorite movie. Any time there's nothing on TV, you can guarantee that my copy of "Clue" is in the VCR. My favorite line is when Col. Mustard says, "This is war, Peacock! Causualties are inevitable. You can not make an omlette without breaking some eggs, every cook will tell you that." Oh, it is the greatest. I watch it so much that I know all the lines and I even know the potholes (like how could Mrs. White be waiting in the billiard room to strangle Yvette when she is heard screaming upstairs?) But, it's still my favorite movie. Take an open mind and run to Blockbusters and rent "Clue" today!
Rating: Summary: To Make A Long Story Short....Too Late! Review: This movie is especially hilarious if you watch it with a group of your closest friends. Based on the Parker Brothers board game, this film is comedy acting at its finest, with an impressive cast of characters spearheaded by the great Tim Curry. Some of the best one-liners of all times!
Rating: Summary: This is my all time favourite movie! Review: I am a huge film buff and people always expect me to say that my favourite film is 'Casablanca' Citizen Kane' or 'Gone with the wind'. No, Sorry! It's 'Clue'! I have seen this film over 100 times (this is no joke) as it is the best film for making me laugh. i know the lines backwards and it is so quotable. Any fan knows Mrs Peacocks speech off by heart ("Well, someone's got to break the ice...") or Mrs. White's speech on her hatred for Yvette. I cried laughing the first time I saw it, especially at the telegram which is my favourite movie moent ever. Jonathan Lynn's script is clever, sharp and observant. the performances are exquisite and yet there is still no video release in England!! I have an ex-rental and the american video, I'm just waiting for the DVD! Don't read film critics guides to this movie...listen to the fans! Clue is superb. (And where can I get the music on CD?)
