Review: When my mother rent the temptations i was impressed by the actors the role s and the moves. i mostly compliment Christian Payton cause he really played his part from begging to end. And I think him and Terron brooks are cute.It really got the best of me : crying and dacing and singing. I want want to be a singer myself. to Leon you were great.Since i saw you play in the five heartbeats and when i saw you play as david and how you played your role you were great. Every time I see the movie i start to shake cause it really imspired so to Charles, DB, Leon, Terron, and Christian. Temptations Forever.

Summary: FICTIONALIZED TEMPTATIONS STORY STILL PULLS AT HEARTSTRINGS
Review: Okay, I just want to warn everybody that I am I die-hard Temptations fan, so I am bound to be critical of this movie...For the most part, I had no problem with the casting of the film. David Ruffin, who is portrayed by the actor Leon, is absolutely incredible. Same for newcomer Christian Payton, who played the supremely talented but tragedy-bound Paul Williams. My problem with the film is that a lot of it was "based on fact" and not the true story of the group. Only a true Temptation fan would know that, for instance, when the Tempts reunited for their tour in the 1980's, they did not play the Copa. The Copa would not have been big enough to hold all the people that came out for that one night only appearance. It was at NYC'S Radio City Music Hall, which was sold out! I should know because I was there. Also Melvin Franklin did not die in Detroit at his mom's house. He died in a hospital in Los Angeles. And another thing, the fight scene between Paul and Al Bryant (Chaz Lamar Shepard) was somewhat twisted...what happened in reality was that Paul and the other Tempts were the ones who were tired and didn't want to do any more encores, and Al was the one who wanted to go back out on stage. Paul and Al argued about it, and Al then attacked Paul with the beer bottle...Well, even with all these faults, I still felt misty eyed by the end of the film. For new Tempts fans, I'd recommend it, but it's not the true story...we old Tempts fans are just glad to see something done on the greatest male R&B group EVER. Even with its faults, it's still an engaging film...especially the scene with the guys debuting at the Copa in '67. They really looked like the originals!!!!

Review: THE TEMPTATIONS MOVIE WAS THE BEST MOVIE I HAVE SEEN WITH SO MANY GOOD LOOKING BROTHERS IN ONE MOVIE. AND MOST OF ALL (CHRISTIAN PAYTON) TOOK MY HEART AWAY IN THE MOVIE I DO WISH HIM THE BEST OF LUCK.

Review: I know this movie should win at least 7 oscar!! You can't do any better then this!The actors had the sprit of Mel, Eddie,Paul,and David Ruffin in their body's, I haven't stop looking,for more information on the group's vhs or music. I remeber my father use to dance to their music when i was little!!! Now look at me, i can't get enough of the The Temptations!! What more can you ask for.. Please!!Try to fine more old vhs on the group.I been looking everwhere,O.williams,eddie,melvin,david&Paul!! Temptations,Keep the music comming & God Bless you!!

Review: I THINK THE PORTRAYER OF PAUL WILLIAMS WAS JUST ASTOUNDING. I HAVE WATCHED THIS MOVIE EVERYDAY WITH MY 4 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER SINCE I BROUGHT IT A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO. SHE CAN NAME ALL OF THE TEMPTATION MEMBERS AND SHE KNOWS ALL OF THE SONGS. THIS MOVIE IS JUST GREAT. I STILL WATCH IT EVERYDAY. I CAN'T SEEM TO GET ENOUGH.

Review: Although not exactly the same as the book on which it was based, this story is nonetheless revealing and a great movie to watch! I was especially moved by Christian Payton as Paul Williams. His portrayal of the tortured and ultimately tragic soul that was Paul Williams was FANTASTIC!

Review: i was especially moved by this film as i was a preteen/teenager when this was happening. the actors portrayals of the original temps was astounding, i would like to see these young actors profiled as guest on some of the major talk shows. all the actors were excellent but for sure my favorite was terron brooks in the role of eddie kendricks whom to me was one of the best so much from my prospective that i have a son named kendrick, the other actors charles, wb, christian and leon were excellent as well all of these actors have a fan club check out yahoo clubs
