Summary: dvd a little different ...
Review: great seeing this on DVD, but beware, a few changes have been made. the opening title of the film is not in english. the logo that opens the film is missing. the ending credits aren't in english either. the gag at the end of the film ("all characters are purely fictional -- except for santa claus!") is missing. to see the stuff cut here, buy a used copy of the old hbo vhs tape. oddly, this DVD has no extras; not even a trailer -- and it isn't widescreen. all that said, however, the quality is great, looking much better than the old tape. i like this film; if you do, buy the DVD. i only wish they wouldn't have cut anything out.

Summary: Brought back a lot of wonderful christmas memory's
Review: I remember as a child watching this movie over and over again sitting on the living room floor, looking from the t.v set to the kitchen repeatly and watching my mom spent hours putting up decorations in the kitchen and boxes being all over the place filled with decorations. Snow slowly falling out side. IT WAS ALMOST CHRISTMAS!!!! I remember the house smelling so extra clean. We were all so very happy.! The excitment of xmas,.....everything to look forward too.! Nothing to worry about in the world except going back to school and the xmas season being over with. My mom was aways doing her very best to make our xmas so wonderful and special for my sister and i. Now that I am in my late 30's, and my mother is now no longer living, I still go back to that time period in my mind and think how very special it was and will always be to me. This movie brings me back too that very moment everytime I think of xmas & or watch this movie. It holds a very special place in my heart. It teaches/showes us the power of giving and being nice when sometimes people are not nice nor giving in return. A must see.!

Summary: Keep a tissue box handy!
Review: My mother loves this movie, and she has shared that love with my sister and I since we were children. I have since watched this movie with my own children, and even though it is very dated, they find the story and the music as wonderful as I always have. It is a true Christmas classic, and like the ending of "Its a Wonderful Life," it still always brings me to tears. No matter what kind of mood you are in at the start, you will end up feeling happy, and good about life. Everything from the Music to the plot is wonderful, and even when I haven't seen the movie in a long time, I can find myself humming Paul Tripps song, Why can't every day be Christmas. This movie is everything a Christmas movie should be!
