Rating: Summary: The best musical of all time. Review: This is definately my favorite of all the musical and dance movies ever. Grease can be summed up into one word: Awesome. The music is electric, fast paced, and exciting. The plot is funny and charming. The cinamatography and the nostalgia factor is also good. The movie is hands down perfect. Danny and Sandy are icons in the movie world. They are the ultimate teen couple. The film is definately one of the greatest films of the nineteen seventies. This is the kind of movie you can watch over and over again. See it at least once.
Rating: Summary: Frankie Avalon is the Best in the movie Review: Frankie Avalon singing the one song in the scene he does is the best scene of the movie.Frankie has been touring the US with the show reprising the same role.If you like Frankie then you will like the scene he is in.
Rating: Summary: "Grease is the word!" Review: Arguably, the best nostalgic musical. "Grease" finds John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John reunited in high school after a summer on the beach. They try to be like each other and impress each other in their own ways. John Travolta looks his best in this film. I think he WAS a natural-born greaser along with Henry Winkler. The movie does take you back in time to the '50s even though I wasn't born then, though from the movies I see, and the '50s music I hear, I don't doubt it. The movie was a 1978 box office hit. 20 years later, it was a hit all over again. Boy, I remember that! It was so popular again. I can't compare it to "American Graffiti" though. That's a classic that's just not appreciated enough by my generation. Getting back to "Grease", if you like films of this genre, go for it, but don't go for "Grease 2." It just doesn't cut it and was a flop. Greased lightning strikes once in the same place. It's right here!
Rating: Summary: Has anyone not seen this movie? Review: How could you not love this movie? It was voted the greatest musical of all time and rightly so. I think everyone knows at least one of the songs, even if they haven't seen the film. "Grease is the word", "Summer Lovin", "Grease Lighting", "Hopelessly Devoted To You", "Sandy", "There are worse things I could do", "You're the one I want" and "We go together". And who hasn't heard John Travolta's high pitch notes? Or seen Olivia Newton John in those pants she had to be sown into? It is a classic.
Rating: Summary: Grease is Burning up the Quarter Mile! Review: Cannot watch this movie enough! The acting is superior and the music is even better. It's just a fun movie that you can watch over and over!!! I highly recommend!!!
Rating: Summary: Grease is the one that I want! (ooh ooh honey) ;-) Review: Ever since I was 9, I have loved Grease. Sure, then, I didn't know what "those words" meant, but I still enjoyed the singing, dancing, and fun!! John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John star in this delightful musical-turned movie. Danny and Sandy meet at the beach one summer("when she swam by me it gave her a cramp"-summer days) and have good times. But then it gets colder and they are afraid they'll never see each other again. Wrong!! Rizzo does something sneaky and they get to see each other again- but Danny is so caught up in trying to be cool that he fails to be the "Danny from the beach". Filled with tons and tons of great songs and funny lines, if you haven't seen this movie I wouldn't just rent it- I'd buy it! My favorite songs were Summer Nights, Grease Lightin, You're the One that I want, and There are Worse thing I could do. You will love this movie!
Rating: Summary: A riotous good time! Review: Travolta is one of those rare leading men who outshines everyone around him. Here he is at the peak of his sexual energy unleashing all the moves that made him such a big hit in the 70's. Olivia Newton John looks pale by comparison, even though it was the height of her career as well. The movie bounces along on a fantastic soundtrack with wonderful sequences that leaving you smiling all the way through the movie. Some memorable supporting roles such as Jeff Conaway (from Taxi), Stockard Channing, Joan Blondell, Alice Ghostly and many more, but Travolta remains front and center exhibiting a charm and vitality, tearing up the dancefloor when it comes time for him to do so. The screen is filled with energy in each and every scene making for a riotous good time.
Rating: Summary: Grease is good..just don't drink it Review: good musical with John Travolta firing up every scene he's in with Olivia Newton John and shes hot at the end with all that black on..nice dancing and dragracing...grease lightning is the best song..period
Rating: Summary: Great Movie! Review: This is one of my favorite movies. The songs are so fun to sing a long to. There is not even ONE boring part in Grease. The Beauty School Drop Out part is kind of weird though HeHe. I would really recommend this movie to any one is likes musicals or likes Oliva Newton-John and John Trovolta (sp).
Rating: Summary: Tell me more, tell me more Review: Never in my life will I say that Grease is the best musical I have ever watched to, but it is really cool. I think it is famous just for the great music that it has, because the end of the film is obvious, everybody who saw it knows that in the end Danny will be with Sandy. The actors are not so good either, but they can sing very well and dance too. The plot portrays the life style of teenagers that have a free life, without trouble like school or parents, just doing things that the society thinks that are wrong. On the other hand, everybody knows Grease, it is a classic, ask your parents and friends, everybody knows that wonderful film.
