Rating: Summary: Excellant Tribute to Andrew Lloyd Webber Review: What a setting and collection of stars for this tribute to the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber. The visual effects add greatly to the great performances by the stars.
Rating: Summary: Michael Ball at his very best Review: When Michael Ball sings "Take This Cup Away from Me", he shows us his full range. But unlike The Premiere Collection Video, Celebration does not list titles and performers. So you may not know who is singing what, but expect to enjoy it again and again!
Rating: Summary: A must-have!!!! Review: When I saw this video first time then I couldn't breathe during all the time it lasted. Since that time I have watched this video for at least twice a month. My favourite performers are GLENN CLOSE, SARAH BRIGHTMAN, ANTONIO BANDERAS, BONNIE TYLER, JULIAN LLOYD WEBEBR etc. All musical fans must have this, as well the people who like good music performed by the very very good singers.
Rating: Summary: Great cast....Great songs Review: This is the best video I own. A great collection of ALW songs. I absolutely loved Michael Ball, who in my opinion, stole the show. His version of Gethsemane was breathtaking, as was every song he sang. I also was very much impressed by Donny Osmond. Sarah Brightman was magnificant as always, and Lottie Mayer's version of Whistle Down the Wind was, to say the least, beautiful. I also enjoyed Boyzone. I am sorry to say, though, that Antonio Banderos can never replace the great MICHAEL CRAWFORD as the Phantom. He was definitely missed from this show for me.
Rating: Summary: Worth every penny! Review: This is an excellent, fast-moving video. The coregraphy is as delightful as the singing. And I always thought Antonio's voice was altered for Evita -- guess not. He sings in the flesh on this one!!!
Rating: Summary: great! Review: I thoroughly enjoyed watching this. The performers were all terrific. Sarah Brightman is not my favourite though but I liked listening to all those Phantom songs. Antonio Banderas was great singing the songs from Evita but lacked the vocal power to be able to sing Phantom effectively. Still with looks like that I'll forgive him!
Rating: Summary: Inspirational...passionate....awesome! Review: Scintillating...exciting...moving! Get the popcorn out and spend a romantic evening singing and dancing to some of your favorite Andrew Lloyd Webber songs. Boyzone, in and of themselves, are well worth the listen on this loving tribute to Andrew Lloyd Webber. Add in Sarah Brightman and a whole calvacade of ALW beneficiaries and you have an evening to remember. ALW fans will find selections on the videotape that are not available anywhere else. My sweetie and I spent an entire evening listening, singing and dancing to the tape. So, grab the love of your life and escape for a while to the land of watercolor mountains!:)
Rating: Summary: Good video production! Review: For those who are engaged with Webber's music, I suggest to buy this video. It combines some popular of his popular work, including some original singers from Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Whistle down the Wind, Sunset Boulevard, etc. The video-filming was not bad, only that it seems that the quality is not that good. However, I strongly recommend buying and viewing it!
Rating: Summary: BRAVO! Standing "O" Review: What a treat! What a show! What a cast! I sang along with every number. Now I'll have to watch it again and try to keep quiet. Not only did we get to hear our favorites, but the costumes and staging provided a visual feast as well. If you're a Webber fan, this must be the next item you purchase. Now, if you'll excuse me I have to go watch the video _again_ !
Rating: Summary: Amazing....Captured every bit of Webber's genius Review: This video was amazing. Featuring some of the greatest voices in the world, it captured the heart and soul of Webber's genius. I watch it almost daily. A must-see for any Webber fan!!!
