Review: This is one of the best movies i have ever seen. my friends and i have watched it........alot! we practically have the script memorized. not to mention the unimaginable acting talent and hotness of the two stars, Robert Sean Leonard and Christian Bale. this movie made me fall in love with swing music before it became the popular thing. i dont have the slightest inkling why the critics hated it so much. i thought it was a quality movie and a great story. i really wish they would rerelease it, because its costing me alot to keep renting it. Also, if you liked Christian bale in this, i would highly reccomend seeing Newsies, another great movie unfairly shot down by the critics.

Review: This was a great film packed with amusement and a good story that was very mind capturing all the way! If you liked "Dead Poets Society" member Robert Sean Leonard then you will love this. It also has amazing on-screen talent from Christian Bale. You've gotta check him out in Newsies! If you want to see good, young actors with a lot of talent, then check out Swing Kids, its a film that everyone could enjoy!!!! I saw it and loved it, so I can pretty much give it a good review because it was just phenomenal!!!

Summary: For the love the music maore than the dancing.
Review: I've been swing dancing for seven years but before that was swing kids who taught me to love the music as much as the dancing. Only a single minded person would love this movie for its dancing. The dancing was excellant, but it was pre planned. The music is what drive the momentum of this stupendece picture. One must relize that without the music of Django or Count Basie all you have is a screwed up vesion of the charlesron. So ... if you love the music more or as much as the dancing watch this movie!

Review: Swing Kids is the swingiest movie out there, that I've seen anyway! I'm 17 and I LOVE swing dancing, so some friends recommended it. I adored this movie! The plot seems a little weak in spots, but other aspects make up for it, in my opinion, such as the awesome dancing and the excellent ending. This movie is best for youth who enjoy dancing, especially swing, with a little romance and drama besides.

Review: This one word (from the movie) sums it up. I watched it for the first time late at night and by myself. (don't do that) As I walked out of the room and up to bed, I wanted to do something amazing. I had tears pouring down my face and just wanted to inspire someone the way that 'Swing Kids' inspired me. This was before swing became popular. I didn't know how to swing, but after watching the movie, I knew I needed to start. It was a statement I needed to make. For all us swingers out there, I know how you feel, especially about this movie. I now swing dance to say something about myself. I am part of something. Something good. And like Peter, I will fight to keep my spirit.

Summary: This is a movie the whole family can (should) see together!
Review: A couple of years ago my older son during his 1st year a college saw this movie and encouraged all of us to watch it on his brake. So Mom, Dad, and brother 13 saw it together. This movie remains very popular in our family today. The struggles of Peter and his friends to stand against the Nazi way of thinking is something we can all relate to and should think about in our lifes today. I bought the movie then and gave it to my older son who took it to school. Now, I would like to be able to have one at home. I wish they would re-release it for purchase. I have recommended this movie to alot of my friends and my kids have done the same. The dancing is good and the moral issues are important. If you have not seem this movie, you should.

Review: This movie is the best one I've ever seen. Not only does it show truly great swing dancing, but it shows you how these swing kids fought for what they believed in and never gave up. Christian Bale is an excellent actor in this as are the other actors. I don't understand how Ebert and all those other critics can say this is a pathetic movie. There is violence, of course, with the Nazis, but it is a great example of the reality these swing kids went through. "You either march to one tune or dance to another." Check it out for yourself.
