Summary: I hate swing, but I like this movie
Review: To start this off, I hate swing with a passion. When "Jump&Jive&Wail" comes on the radio, I usually react violently. However, I still enjoy this movie. Why??? Well, for starters, they use real swing music, not the stuff that they pass off as swing today. Secondly, the dance sequences are wonderfully coreographed. Finally, the plot and acting are great, and the conflict has a lot of grey areas (this is a good thing, because black and white is dead boring). Good movie all the way around!

Summary: The best historical drama for teens!
Review: I remember seeing enticing ads for this movie when it was first released. Swing music wasn't big then, but I'm a history buff so I went to see it and I loved it! The story is about what real teenagers went through in Nazi Germany and how they survived. Swing music has become so popular recently that I convinced a few swing -loving friends to rent this movie and watch it. They loved it and wondered why they hadn't seen such a great movie before. I'm sure you'll feel this way too when the end credits start rolling.

Review: I have always loved the pre and during WWII era and that is why I like this movie. I especially LOVE the music from this time period. The movie 'Swing Kids' is a great movie. Why? Because acting from this movie is incredible. Why it didn't get good reviews is beyond me. The three main characters Peter, Thomas and Arvid, and the actors who portrayed them, I feel, all gave Oscar worthy performaces. Also, so did Barbara Hershey's character and her youngest son. And, if you like swing music you also would like this film. It has great music from the era and great re-makes composed by James Horner. All in all, if you like the WWII time period you would like this movie and it will become one of your favorites, as it is mine.

Review: I can see this movie a hundred times and still love it. The director did the best job in depicting the time of the evil Nazis and their strong influence. The movie makes me want to get up and dance. Ever since I have seen the movie, I have been into Swing. How could anyone not get in the grove of this exciting and yet sad movie along with the style!

The acting of Robert Sean Leonard, Christian Bale, Kenneth Branaugh, and Barbara Hershey is spectacular.
