Summary: A WORK OF GENIUS
Review: Perhaps the greatest insight into Nazi Germany can be found in this movie. We have all heard of the horrors that took place under Adolf Hitler, but what, after all, what the appeal was of the Nazi movement? Why would any human being willingly become a part of this? This movie addresses this question at the very heart, and on the most important social level--that is, among lower/middle-class youth of that era. Many movies on this subject are often very one-sided and 'preachy.' But "Swing Kids" gets its message across both subtly and effectively. Sure it's about swing and rebellious kids, but there is a greater value this film teaches us that we cannot afford to overlook.As for the soundtrack, I highly recommend it (if you can find a copy of it). I was listening to swing long before its recent rise to "coolness."

Review: This movie is one of the best that I've ever seen. The characters show so much passion for their lifestyle and for the music. The music is great and so is the dancing and the soundtrack. The other night me and my Swing-buddies were going to go swing dancing when they had found out that I had rented the movie. They immediately insisted that we watch it (they had never seen it). Everyone loved the movie.
