Summary: the dumbing down of todays youth continues!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: and they eat up this type of junk and give it 5 stars.i keep hoping that movies aimed for the wee ones can still somehow manage to not put adults to sleep or scream for money back.for the record, there are certain genres i will not give money to-anything rap related(what would rappers do if sampling were not allowed?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?what a beautifull thought.......),yapfest dramas ala period pieces, anything MTV has to do with, movies where models/rappers/singers(with the exception of ice cube, methodman and his"partner"redman and buster rhymes in very small doses)are the stars(tyra and britney, for the love of god, stick to posing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)then there are dancing/singing movies.if not for my female friends none of the genres i typed would ever need my reviewing.but since women tend to drag their mates to such insipid movies,i have to review what i suffered through.honey has a dream,to become a dancer.WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!albas attractiveness kept me involved for 2 minutes then i got my sleep on.as does most movies that are trendy, one shouldnt expect too much.but too much and absolutely nothing are vastly different.a producer has to have a conscience where he/she asks themselves"is this really the best movie this could be?or am i just out to seek that one hit wonder type dollar?"to find creditbility in gollywood would be stranger than seeing big foot riding on loch ness monsters back.beautifull people/loud noises does not a good movie make.all in all, kids will be kids.and being the kids of today(most being raised by MTV),anything hip will sell.kids wearing jeans/white tee shirts 10 sizes too big, fake diamond earrings, declaring britney spears the greatest singer...the list of ineptitude is brutal.but this is what kids/females like.one day kids will grow up and realize the obvious.

Summary: Would have given this movie negative stars..
Review: I rented this film because I like dance movies. I could barely sit through an hour of this film....if you can even call it that. Sure, Jessica Alba is gorgeous, but her acting skills leave something to be desired...The script is lousy, the dancing is good, but Alba's character is mindless...Needless to say I didn't finish watching the whole movie because I felt like every minute that went by I was losing more and more brain cells. If you want to see some good movies with better acting skills..not great...but some great dance moves..rent or buy Flashdance, Staying Alive, Dirty Dancing, Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo, and Save the Last Dance. Save your money on "Honey."

Summary: Taste Like Honey!!!
Review: Honey was indeed a good movie i just dont know why they compare it to you got served. Its whole different ball game in both movie especially honey.Honey is jessica alba who wants to make a break through in the dancing world you can call it but it just distracted by work and everything around her.If you watch the movie good the movie display about true events what really goes on in todays worlds especially with kids and young adults with talents.Theres alot of people like honey with mad talent it just its hard for them to get know because either it the environment there living in or the are distracted with other things that prevents them for achieving there goals.I really like they focus on Jessica Alba and others people around here cus it goes to show you never give up because the thing you are looking for it right there in front of you.

Summary: Sweet
Review: Someone said that this movie is stereotypical and unrealistic in a review, and I must disagree. This movie shows the bad streets of New York and how a young dancer decides to buy a piece of property in the ghettos of New York to open a dance studio for kids that can't look up to their parents as role models. Honey thinks that it is her dream to be in dance videos and be a big star, but she finds out that show biz is not all that when her boss hits on her at a party and then ruins the dreams of the local kids to be in a Ginuwine video. It shows how real poverty, violence, and drugs are in America. Honey cannot afford the property because she is fired from her job, so she decides to hold a dance benefit charity event to raise the money so that she can get the kids off the street and into the dance studio. A very sweet idea- it will make you think about helping kids today. The movie mentions how kids start skipping school because school is just as bad as their homes. If you don't like hip hop dancing, then you will probably find much of the movie tedious, although this is the first time I have really watched hip hop dancing and I enjoyed it. Worth a watch!

Summary: 90 minutes you'll want back
Review: I'm always a bit wary of Amazon reviews because I've gotten some bad ones in the past. This one tops them all in the "what were you thinking" category.

The fact that this movie has a 4 star rating all but makes it impossible to trust the masses. This movie is so painfully, painfully, awful. I feel sorry for anyone who subjected themselves, as I did, to this joke. If I can sway one person from going through the same torture I did maybe it will be worth taking the time to write this.

This is the 1st review I've ever written, and I wouldn't normally take the time. In this case however, I have to make an exception and warn you about the danger of this thing, whatever you want to call it.

Sure Jessica is gorgeous, and if you must rent this to look at her, just stare at the cover for awhile. DON'T WATCH THE MOVIE INSIDE THE CASE!!!!

There... I've done my part. You have been thus warned. What you choose to do from here I cannot be held responsible for. Good luck.

Summary: Response
Review: I just wanted to respond to The Viewer from Seattle, Wash. who showed they're ignorance in they're review of "Honey". Let me inform you that Latino/Hispanic is not a race ,anyone can be Latino/Hispanic whether you're black, white, brown or yellow
as long as you or your family comes from a Latin country. Have you ever seen Sammy Sosa or Celia Cruz before they are both Black or part Black but they are also Latinos in terms of their culture, so do me a favor and open your mind and not your mouth because you don't know what you are talking about. Being "Black" doesn't equate to being born in the U.S. Jessica Alba is playing a young woman of african and european descent but her nationality and culture is american. My point is that being a latina has no bearing on one's race because being a latino/Latina is about being apart of the same culture not being the same skin color.

Summary: What is everyone raving about?!?!?
Review: This is one of those movies that if you dont like to dance or don't know how to move... you wont like it. I always hear people saying how they don't like it but if you dance with all your heart and it is a part of your life (like it is mine) you will love this movie. I personally think that the people who dont like this movie are just jealous or don't understand that dancing for some people is life and are willing to do anything in life to live their dreams.

Summary: Honey?
Review: Hmm let's see where shall i begin...basically to sum it up in a few words. Cliche, unrealistic, fake, bad dance moves and ummm yeah-cliche!

Summary: It sucks the life out of you!
Review: Wow, so I only watched this movie because my siblings rented it. Needless to say, they're 13 and 14 and they didn't even enjoy it. What the hell name is "Honey" anyway? And if Jessica Alba is so all about being "Latina" what is she doing pretending to be half black?? Good Lord her stupid fake little ghetto accent drove me nuts! Her dancing isn't even good. And the "streets" in the movie weren't even bad. Plus shouldn't "the kids'" focus be on education instead of having their life goal be a background booty dancer for a rap video? If you enjoy seeing a skinny fat-lipped white girl shake her non-existent ass up in the club this movie is for you!

Summary: Kind of been done before, but tight dance moves....
Review: Honey stars the beautiful Jessica Alba as of course Honey Daniels; a struggling dancer who works at a club as a bartender to dance. She is then caught the attention of Mike; a music video director. So she is brought on the set to the new Jadakiss and she pretty much steals the show. So now, she is famous, but while doing the music videos, she leaves behind a dancing class where she catches the eye of kids who are interested in her class. Some of the kids are not doing so well in life; one of them is a drug dealer for a small drug kingpin but eventually he gets caught up while his friends leave him hanging. Eventually as Honey gets known in the music video world, Mike then makes a move on her which Honey is caught off guard, she then tells him to shove it and leaves him at this party which she canceled plans with her best friend Gina to go to Atlantic City. Now when she gets back to work on the new video, she is fired and replaced. So now, while on her way of buying a new studio, she is then put into a financial crunch, and she decides to do a fund-raising dance show so that she can get the money to buy the dance studio. Then comes Missy Elliot to Mike, she didnt like the dancer he has, until he comes back to her like a poor dog looking for food from his former master. Eventually like all Hollywood endings, it ends on a good note.

The movie is good, but I felt some of the writing was a little poor, but the performances from Jessica Alba was strong. Not Acamedy Award strong, but this is worth checking out.
