Rating: Summary: Momentus, but Very Bland Sequel To The 1978 Hit. Review: Grease 2 is a very disappointing sequel to the original hit movie, but Grease 2 can be a pretty fun movie when it wants to. In fact, some of the numbers in this were better done then the original, like the opening song entitled "Back To School". The performances are very dull compared to the original ones, and the scripts are kind of weak, but otherwise, the movie comes off as watchable.
Rating: Summary: Not what I wanted but a good movie Review: When I first heard that they where makeing a Grease 2 I thought it was going to pick up right where Grease left off. But instead it went back to Rydel High with a complet new cast exsept for Frenchie and if you look closely in certan scens you see the former T-Bird (but not as a T-Bird in fact he is barly seen and doesnt talk at all) also Ugine from Grease returns to, Exsept this time it is more of a better plot more instead of Grase witch basicly is more of singing and the plot just kinda drifts with it. But Grease 2 has more of story plots instead of just singing. The Credicts hated it but I still liked it personaly, BUt I cant see why it wasent even a idea to make a Grease 3!
Rating: Summary: Really Bad Review: Over and Over I have tried to sit down and view this movie and each time I have tried to sit down and make some sense of it and really understand what Grease 2 is all about, I have not understood the movie. Grease the original movie made sense was nothing like this movie and was fun to watch. Grease 2 is not fun to watch at all instead it falls to being very cheesy and the scripts are bad the songs are so bad you really want to know who could actually write something like that. Bad movie! BOMB!
Rating: Summary: Its just good Review: I know that it's is no Grease but it funny and cute and I love Maxwell Caulfield and michelle Pfeiffer. The songs are great for the time and I can't help but love it. Like I said its not like Grease but thats what makes it fun.
Rating: Summary: This boomer loved it! Review: Okay, okay, we all agree: It isn't the original Grease. But I still enjoy this movie a LOT. Maybe it's the nostalgia for the 50s and 60s; it does remind me of my high school days in Toledo! But I must confess the real draw: Maxwell Caulfield. What a dreamboat; just look at his eyes. Reminds me of a boy I was in love with at sixteen....That's why I continue to watch this movie; I want to reclaim those days of my youth!
Rating: Summary: Great Fun! Review: Yes, its kinda cheesy, but so what? It's fun! It has the feel of the original Grease, with the teenage obsessions, hi-jinxs and of course, everyone's favorite principal and vice-principal. At the same time, it stands on its own, with its unique music and its own group of unforgettable characters. As, a reviewer said previously, the music grows on you, and you will be singing along in no time. My only complaint - when are they going to put this on DVD? People are still talking about this movie which came out in 1982 - it obviously has staying power.
Rating: Summary: Well, It's Grease *2*.... Review: You know how sequels mostly never live up to their originals well this is true here. Grease 2, a fun film, released in 1982 has one major flaw, imho, and that is- it's missing the "timeless" feeling to it. The music of the original, for the most part, sounded like music from the 50's and 60's. However, in 2 the blaring guitar and punky vocals of "Cool Rider" sound right out of the early eighties as do "Who's That Guy?" and "Turn Back The Hands of Time." I do want to make it clear that these are not bad songs but they just don't always fit the sixties setting. And the pile of other great songs like "Reproduction" "Score Tonight" and Back To School" are great ensemble pieces. So, putting aside that you can't top the orignal (so why try?)Grease 2 is quite a good time. Adrian Zmed is great in this film. Cracks me up and puts on a great performance as head of the T-Birds. Michelle Pfeiffer does great, not only acting, despite some bad dialogue, but also singing her own stuff quite well. Maxwell Caulfield plays a stiffy brit longing for Pfeiffer's Stephanie and he plays it fairly stiffly AND I won't even mention his singing since enough fans exist I could be mamed for life. The supporting cast too is quite good and they fill in the other parts GREATLY. So give it a chance, put any preconceived notions aside, and you might enjoy it.
Rating: Summary: Maybe, maybe not Review: ok, im not gonna bash anything grease, 'cause im the biggest fan you'll ever know, but this was just kinda dumb. johnny was a stupid jerk, ignorant and sexist, but The songs were ok. my reccomendation: go back to danny zuko! :)
Rating: Summary: The worst, but the best movie I've ever seen! Review: This is possibly the most enjoyable film you will ever watch, providing you have a sense of humour. Put your John Travolta and Olivia Newton John back on the shelf, and bring on Michelle and Maxwell to liven up your life ! Despite the fact I've seen more personality in a piece of wood, on Maxwell's part, you still can't help but find him adorable, and it's worth watching to see how Hollywood big-gun Michelle Pfeiffer exploded onto the scene (I simply can't understand why this is not looked upon as one of the defining moments in her career). This film will make you laugh (almost unstoppably), cry (... with laughter)and will definitely make you burst into song. I you are not convinced that this film has produced one of the greatest soundtracks in history then you are spot on, but you have to love songs with lines such as; 'we'll be together, always together, like birds of a feather, together, together ....' You simply have to watch this film to understand what I mean, I think the 50+ reviews say as much. Now 'do it for your country'.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Review: Grease 2 is so much better than Grease. It RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
