Rating: Summary: One step too far... Review: I loved Grease. But I didn't like Grease 2. The most memorable part was that song about reproduction. Michelle Pfeiffer is a weak lead, but she had to follow Newton-John, so she was OK. Maxwell Caulfield didn't really work for me and his accent really got irritating. Was it meant to be British? The T-Birds have really gone off the rails. They tried to kill Michael (Caulfield). And the Pink Ladies have gone from bad to worse without Rizzo. OK as a sequel but a million miles from Grease.
Rating: Summary: GREAT MOVIE!! Review: although not the best movie of ALL time, it is easily one of my favorites. grease may be a classic and all, but for pure fun and some great songs, no matter what others say, grease 2 is far superior. i havent gotten the dvd yet, but i have the vhs and i watch it alot. some of the songs are cheesy but others like cool rider, we'll be together, girl for all seasons are great! dont put this movie down until you see it. dont go into it thinking it will be like the first. watch it for fun-it may surprise you!
Rating: Summary: Great 80's Flick Review: This movie just doesn't get the recognition it deserves. My husband was a big Grease fan when he was growing up; but Grease 2 was my favorite, hands down. I just got the DVD and have watched it twice already. Love it, love it, love it.....and I have been waiting for a Grease 3; but doesn't look like that's going to happen.

Rating: Summary: Deeper and more seriously written than the original. Review: Grease, the original movie starring Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta, may have set the style and re-established musicals as a part of the film industry, but is a pale, superficial and annoying movie compared to this one.Grease 2 was very badly treated by the critics when it came out in 1984, and it was subsequently relegated to repetitive showings on the major cable networks. But the people who trampled on it probably didn't take the time to see the improvements it had over its predecessor, probably expecting just another remake of and old movie. Of course the T-Birds and the Pink Ladies are back, and so are Rydell's teachers and even a few figures from the past. The new crowd loves bikes more than cars and there's the big High School celebration finale. But, most importantly, there are improvements, most of which are on character development; the "kids" stop coming across as being obnoxious air heads, and start behaving like good-natured adolescents who enjoy having a good time. Michael (Maxwell Caufield) and Stephanie (Michelle Pfeiffer) are great as the studious new British student and the girl of his dreams who is convinced that she will only fall in love with a biker. Unlike Grease, in this movie the characters become friends while Michael tries to make Stephanie fall in love with his secret identity: a self-taught, independent biker despised by the T-Birds more out of jealousy than of hatred. The whole situation is treated from a mature point of view, without adding superficiality or exaggerations (used only for sporadic laughs) that allows the characters to follow a coherent story line, on which they eventually grow by learning about their misconceptions and prejudices. The score and choreography are as good or better than that of the original and also funnier. The sets and locales of the movie are visually pleasing while not completely accurate for the period. And the performances of the whole cast are just great. My only two complaints are, first, with Johnny (Adrian Zmed), which is the only character that's a bit too self-absorbed, and secondly with the lack of Special Features on this DVD. A very delightful movie overall, with something for everyone.
Rating: Summary: Up there with XANADU as one of the worst movies ever made Review: Don't be fooled by the reviews praising this film. It bombed at the box office at 1982 and deservedly so. It proved why sequels often don't work. In recent times it has become a cult classic - but only for the following reasons: 1. Michelle Pfeiffer - she went on to become a huge star, so people want to see one of her very early films (possibly her first). She does some embarrassing things in this movie, so that has helped make people want to see it. 2. Maxwell Caulfied - this film stopped his career. Or was it his awful acting? Probably both. 3. Grease - fans of the original will always pine for more, this is their only option - at this time. Overall, "Grease 2" needed stronger direction, and a much better script. Did they even bother to show it to test audiences in 1981? This is a film that should have been re-shot until they got it right. True fans of the original have never accepted "Grease 2" as the official sequel. See it for yourself, and you will understand why.
Rating: Summary: My Favorite Musical! Review: I was just a baby when this movie came out. I saw it when I was around two and till this day I've seen it 1000 times. I don't care what anyone says! Grease 2 is a good movie! I am not afraid to say it. I think it was ten times better than the first Grease. In Grease 2 there was more fun and laughs and better songs. The first Grease was quite boring and doesn't live up to the so-called classic title it receives. Of course Grease 2 isn't the best movie ever made but it's a darn good sequel! In over twenty years it is still one of my most enjoyable films. Adrien Zmed was such a babe back then. SIGH! I'm getting the DVD for Christmas. You should too! Grease 2 is fun for the entire family. The best 50's or 60's flashback film ever made!
Rating: Summary: Fans of Michelle Pfeiffer -- DON'T MISS IT!!! Review: OK, so Travolta and Newton-John were giant icons of 78 (and after), granted. Grease was, is and ever shall be, an accepted classic. Putting that aside, Grease 2 which sadly has the intrinsic "sequel" written in the title, has no feeling whatsoever like its predecessor. BUT IT IS STILL FUN! It is great fun, and the songs are extremely enjoyable their own right. What a pleasure to see Pfeiffer in her first "big" starring debut, and she really can sing, even though her voice is "electronicized" a lot (for proof, see "The Fabulous Baker Boys"). (She was gorgeous back then and still is, a REAL star). This is a perfect sit back and have fun movie with the kids, on a rainy day with some popcorn. Just appreciate the fun music and gorgeous people in the film.
Rating: Summary: Grease 2 Review: Where should I start...Okay..Grease 2 is very interesting to watch..It's a fun movie to watch...But it's not nearly as good as Grease. This movie has some great songs and great actors but the dialogue isn't the greatest...But this movie is definitely a movie to watch if you are grumpy..It's just so corny that you will absolutely love it...It's the kind of movie where when around people your like: Omygosh..this sucks..but when alone your sitting there belting out "Let's Bowl".I will admit I have seen it atleast 50 times.
Rating: Summary: Are you kidding me???? Review: This has to be one of the worst movies ever. Right up there wit Ishtar, and one of the sequals that should hve never been made like The Crow 2. Three words... stink, stank, stunk!!!!!
