Summary: Incredibly Entertaining! ! !
Review: For anyone who adored the stage performance, this is not a terrible conversion of a play into a movie. Even though most conversion's are terrible (case in point A Chorus line, entertaining but lacking) This movie is quite funny but loses something in the change of ending. It's not a slight change it's a complete rewrite. In the original ending everyone dies. The movie banishes this idea giving a sappy, and happy but "CUTE" ending. Overall. I could watch it everyday.

Summary: Great Music, hilarious comedy!
Review: The Music is very catchy, I have a tape of it and play it frequently. Moranis is at his best (nerd mode) and the evil dentist is a scream. The antics of the creature are really something to watch, and it is OK for kids to watch as well!

Summary: Unique and very entertaining
Review: If you are unfamiliar with this film, DO NOT read the reviews on this page, DO NOT ask anyone about the film; simply BUY the video and be prepared for a highly unusual and immensely entertaining evening.

I saw this film after Thanksgiving supper in 1986. I had no idea what it was about; I had seen no trailers, read no reviews, spoken to no one who had seen it (very unusual in a world filled with Leonard Maltin wanna-bees!). The opening scene knocked my socks off and the balance of the movie followed suit. After this experience, I try never to spoil my film outings with advance material - it's too much fun going in blind!

Summary: Excellent movie
Review: The time: the early sixties. The place: Mushnik's Skid row florists, where Seymour Krelbourn-orphan and schlemil-longs for a better life and for the love of his beat up co worker Audrey. Seymour's prospects are dim and getting dimmer... until he finds a strange and interesting plant ( it looks like some kind of flytrap) names it Audrey 2 and finds out it wants human blood. But Seymour's fingers are covered with band-aids but the plant has made Seymour famous. Mushnik even adopts Seymour. Sounds good? but not for long. Audrey 2 is as big as a shetland pony and wants bigger meals than the small paslama Seymour has to spare. It just so happens that there is a Dentist named orin who is datng Audrey. Seymour feeds him to hte plant. and to make mushnik victum number 2. Audrey 2 has grown and even ate Seymour's love Audrey. So he kills himself. THIS MOVIE IS STILL AVALIBLE ONE LAST TIME.

Summary: A TRUE WINNER!!!!!!!!!!
Review: I've been obsessed with Little Shop of Horrors Ever Since I played since I played Mr. Mushnick in a camp play and soon I will be playing Seymour (tomorrow 12/10/98) I think this was great movie. Ellen Greene was Fenomanal I've wanted to see the original ending a lot. I've got the original the script to the play and the movie with Rick Moranis and Ellen Greene I just ordered the screen play and I'm not sure but I think Ellen Greene did Frenchie in Grease. I have both cd's so as you can see I think this is a great musical and someday someday I'd like to make a remake of this wonderful movie.

Summary: Pre-Disney Ashman at his best
Review: When we lost Howard Ashman, we lost one our most imaginative and entertaining musical-theater book writers and lyricists. "Little Shop of Horrors" should be counted among Ashman and Menken's best, using old-fashioned rock and roll and comedy in this revision of Roger Corman's original and memorable sci-fi schlock flick. As to Frank Oz's directing, the dark "Skid Row" number alone is worth the price of admission. Your feet will be tapping throughout. Add this film to your private collection.
