Summary: Not your usual Adam Sandler movie
Review: By and large I do not care for Adam Sandler. I find his humor crude and obnoxious. But THE WEDDING SINGER is not your typical Adam Sandler movie. In this one, he plays a sweet, kindly guy, and brings it off quite well. I can't give this more than 3 stars, because you know where it's going before it even starts, but it does provide a fair number of chuckles along the way. There's a hilarious cameo appearance by Jon Lovitz, another by Billy Idol, and numerous funny references to mid-1980s culture. Not a great movie, but a pleasant light diversion.

Summary: So Very, Very Funny!
Review: I would have to say this is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. I love Adam Sandler, but I don't think you have to be a fan of his to enjoy this movie. He is more mellow in this movie than in most of his other movies. It has a lot of the same people in it that are normally always in his movies. This movie has me laughing from beginning to end. One of my favorite parts is when Jon Lovits is behind the curtain listening to Adam Sandler singing his song. Drew Barrymore is great too! I never get tired of watching this movie. If you havn't seen this movie, you need to. Go rent it now! Go ahead! It also has an amazing soundtrack, two seperate cd's, full of great 80's songs!

Summary: Sweet and Innocent 80's Story
Review: I liked this sweet and innocent movie particularly because I love Drew Barrymore and I love 80's music.
The plot is pretty simple but the acting is great and so is the music which includes such memorable hits as Nena's '99 Luftballons',Billy Idol's 'White Wedding',the Reggae Hit -'Pass die Dutchie pan die Left-hand Side' , Culture Club's "Do You Really Want To Hurt Me" and a lot of other smashing feel-good hits of the 80's.

Drew Barrymore stars as Julia Sullivan , a sweet and pretty waitress lacking in self confidence who meets Robbie Hart a wedding singer who longs to make it big. They are in love with each other from the beginning but fail to admit it as they are attached to rather unpleasant egocentric and materialistic characters -the vacuous super[witch] Lisa and the bigheaded, shallow and totally nasty and deceitful Glenn Gulia....

OK,there's certainly nothing profound but the simplicity and sweetness is great as is the memory of a more innocent ,gentler time (as the 70's was more innocent and gentler than the 80's and so forth-quite a depressing thought really)....

Summary: The Wedding Singer...PRETTY GOOD!
Review: The Wedding Singer is a great romantic comedy that takes place in 1985. Robbie Hart (Adam Sandler) is a wedding singer, that was supposed to get married, but the marriage was called off when his fiance' never showed up. But he finds a girl name Julia (Drew Barrymore) which he likes better anyways. But you see, the problem is that Julia is supposed to get married also, but to a man who cheats on her, yet she doesn't know that. The story ends with the two, Julia and Robbie falling in love and geting married. Some of the DVD feature's are: Karaoke Bar (including Billy Idol-White Wedding, Sugar Hill Gang-Rapper's Delight, and a bunch of other 80's songs). The DVD has both widescreen and fullscreen versions of the film, 80's music trivia game, cast boigraphies and filmograhies, and a wedding album (photo gallery of the movie). If you like good, clean, fun comedy, i definetely recommend this DVD!!!

Summary: They try soooo hard!
Review: But unfortunately this movie is on the same level as Adam Sandler's singing. (Solidly mediocre.) And Drew Barrymore is too worldly to be believable as the naïve woman she plays here. The movie's misplaced 80's references (the film is set in 1985, but is peppered with items from throughout the decade) are distracting as well.

Summary: "YOU SPIN ME RIGHT 'ROUND, BABY RIGHT 'ROUND"
Review: This movie is awesome. It takes place in the 80's which makes it even more funny. Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore go really good together. The storyline is really good in this movie. The ending is pretty cool too. This is one of my favourite Adam Sandler movies. If You like "Big Daddy", and "Happy Gilmore", you will like this one.

Summary: nostalgia, nostalgia, nostalgia
Review: This movie is for everyone who loves 80s nostalgia. It shows the way life was back in the mid-80s. It has everything from the Micheal Jackson-like jackets to a huge Miami Vice lover! My favorite is when Julia's (played by Drew Barrymore) fiancee bought her a brand new expensive invention- a CD player!

Review: The wedding singer brings out the best in both Adam sandler and Drew Barrymore. I would recommend it to anyone who has a sense of humour and enjoys a good laugh. However it is definitely a chick flick and very romantic so if your not into this, its not for you. But watch it anyway!
