Summary: The Best of the Best
Review: It is impossible to fault Meet Me In Saint Louis, which features an exceptional cast under expert direction, meticulous attention to period detail, a witty and subtle script, and one of the finest scores to ever emerge from any Hollywood film.

Leading lady Judy Garland is a peak form, slyly playing her character's practical mentality against the delicate sentimentality of the story; moreover, she is both remarkably beautiful and in superior voice. She is matched by the talents of the ensemble cast, which includes Mary Astor, Lucille Bremer, and the remarkable child actress Margaret O'Brien. A miracle of film-making, Meet Me In St. Louis is a film of such seductive charm and grace that it lingers in the memory long after the final credits roll.

Summary: A masterpiece
Review: This film miraculously never dates. It's a gorgeous painting-come-to-life with superb music, rhapsodic acting, costuming, settings and directing. M-G-M was so meticulous a crew came to St. Louis just to research the history of the World's Fair and get the details right even if no one watching the film would know the difference. The trolley sequence and song remain one-of-a-kind and July Garland is a miracle. This film is a gift. Make it one!

Summary: "Meet Me In St. Louis": M-G-M's greatest musical
Review: I love Judy Garland and I think this is her best film of all (not to mention my favorite). My sister and I watched it one evening just before Christmas '98 and my 6 year-old nephew watched it with us and now whenever he mentions it he refers to it as "Clang, clang" ("Clang, clang, clang went the trolley..."). He's watched at least 7 times now since that evening and he loves it. Those of you who havn't seen "St. Louis" and are fans of either Judy Garland or great musical films see this film. It is so magical it's hard to believe it was a true story.

Summary: This musical is my all-time favorite.
Review: This movie was before it's time. The way with each season a picture painting is shown which turns into a real scene almost made you feel like you were looking at an old-time scrapbook come to life.

The costumes fit with the songs, the scenes and the characters.

The first time I saw this movie I was 7 years old and just a little younger than Margaret O'Brien so in the Halloween scene it was easy to feel as scared as she did especially when she tripped over the railroad tracks. Ouch!

Glad I could express comments.

Summary: infectious songs for kids
Review: what can a mom say:it's great to find a movie my kids loved and continue to sing "Clang Clang goes the Trolley," "Meet me in St. Louie," and others months after watching it.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A timeless movie who's plot is applicable even today.
Review: Although this movie was set in 1904, the themes presented are timeless. The movie deals with young love, life mistakes and choices, choosing between career desires or familial fulfillment and most importantly the strength one can derive from family. Nobody sings it like Judy and Margaret O'Brien is at her best. Make this movie a family favorite at your house.

Summary: Great to watch at Christmas time and year round!!
Review: I wait until Christmas time each year and sit down to watch it! No one sings "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" like Judy! The first time I saw it was late one night when I was about 14 and I just fell in love! Since then its been a tradition for my mom & I to watch it every Christmas!
