Summary: Spice Girls 2nd kickin' album ROCKS!
Review: After the release of their chart topping debut album there was much sceptisism on whether or not the Spice Girls could hit number 1 again or become forgotten 1-hit-wonders. Not only did they hit number 1 again, they topped themselves. This album has done EXTREMLY well, and its easy to see why. The album kicks off with the Spice Girls first single off this album "SPICE UP YOUR LIFE." This is an outrageously awesome song inviting all the world to get up on the dance floor and shake it! A really fun song. Next comes "STOP" which is the Spice Girls tribute to Motown. And what a tribute! This song is wonderfull and so much fun. Its a shame it didn't get to number 1 on the charts, but number 2 is just as good. Then comes "TOO MUCH" another number 1 hit for the Spice Girls. And its easy to see why, the awesome lyrics and the melody itself is just amazing. Not to mention that it dosn't get into silly mushy garbage that often happens with ballads (Backstreet Boys much?). Then theres "SATURDAY NIGHT DIVAS" which happens to be my least favorite Spice Girls song. Its sounds like they just came out of the ghetto, allthough not an entirly bad song. The comes my favorite, "NEVER GIVE UP ON THE GOOD TIMES." What an outrageous song, the disco beat is great and the harmonies rock. I love this song! Then theres the world famous "MOVE OVER" or otherwise known as Generation Next. I love seeing them perform this song and even though its not as good, the album version rocks! Even if it is the Pepsi song. Next comes "DO IT." Now "DO IT" and "DENYING" (the next song) tend to be the forgotten tracks on this album. While not the best songs on the album they are most definetly not the worst. I rather like them and love seeing the Girls stage them. Next comes a favorite of mine, "VIVA FOREVER," the oh-so-sweet ballad. The simplicity and beauty of this song brings tears to the eye, I just love it. The final song on the album, "LADY IS A VAMP," tends to get knocked a little. Why? Its fun and I loved it the first time I heard it. Besides, where else can you hear Geri carrying a song so well? I like it, its cute. All in all, this album is a must. Even those who don't like cute pop can find somthing to enjoy in SPICEWORLD. Besides, what else are you gonna listen to? Kid Rock? Korn? BOO! The Spice Girls write their own lyrics, perform hamronies, dance, and are alot of fun. This album is a credit to their name.

Summary: insult to music
Review: Well we can't really exist without commercialism but that doesn't mean I have to like it. Nothing wrong with liking it either but at least be aware that its all propaganda, don't fall for the con - it ain't real! The Spice Girls did NOT know each other, grow up together and slug their guts out to get known by people.(...)Oh, and as a film, this is awful. Self indulgent nonsense with no plot, extremely annoying and insulting. And if this is who the Spice Girls really are, why can't they act? I mean, how can you NOT act your own personality? Something tells me its all a bit fake...If music were a car then rock would be a jugernaut, trance would be a porsch and the spice girls would be a tonka toy.

Summary: It's definitely good
Review: Okay, so it took me a while to get around to reviewing this album, but here goes. It is pretty well structured, I must say, with the girls actually trading off vocals this time. It is very cinematographic. It starts out lively, has it's soft and slow moments, and closes off in a sultry manner. Spice Up Your Life has a light Latin beat to it. Great followup to Wannabe, as the Spicy ones call on the world to spice up their lives. Stop is next, with a light 60's feel to it, that just makes you want to dance. The harmonies are good, especially on "Don't you know it's going too fast? Racing so hard, you know it won't last?" This is followed by Too Much. It's a softer song, and the harmonies and lead vocals just flow. The track arrangement is woven together very nicely, and I loved the trumpet solo. Saturday Night Divas is next. Not the best song, but a good effort. Emma's solo saved the song, and I liked the beginning. Never Give Up comes next, and that was one of my favorites. The three part harmony is really good, and I love the disco style that it brought. Too bad it was never released--that song has some potential. Move Over is next, and I immediately think Pepsi with that song. While the live version is better, the recording is good. Should have been longer and not as repetitive. That follows into Do It. I like the keyboard intro, and I liked the way the verses were set up with one line sung low, by Mel B, Geri and Victoria, and the next line sung high, by Emma and Melanie C. Denying was also pretty good. Possible followup to Say You'll Be There (think moog synth). Nice R&B feel to it. Viva Forever is possibly the best song in the album. With haunting strings, Spanish guitar, and a "bass line" sung by Melanie B at the end, it is very good. I loved the harmonies on that song, and I was left in awe. The Lady Is A Vamp is a great way to close the album, with each girl singing a part, paying tribute to "former Spice Girls", and then to themselves at the end. Hope you enjoyed the show!

Summary: Spicy fun
Review: It's not on my fave list or anything, but it is my type of movie! I guess I was a closet fan or something, but I just love the campness of them and the outfits! There were some really fun parts in the film, like when they swapped roles, and dressed up as their favourite idols. (Nothing like playing dress-ups!) I loved it when they sang the old Gary Glitter song. They made fun of themselves a little, which is always a good thing. They may not be the most talented or gorgeous beings in the world, but at least they don't make you want to die of sadness like a lot of acts today do (well, depending on who you are!) There's a need for more musicals in the world, I think, and this is the closest we've gotten to one in the last fifteen years...

Summary: Don't even think about it, Just watch
Review: Spice World is actually a very hilarious film. It makes fun of the Spice Girls and the world they live in. It's also done in the spirit of A Hard Day's Night. Everyone in the film is great, and it's a nice surprise to see some notable Brits like Elton John and Jennifer Saunders in the film. Don't take the movie seriously, it's meant to be fun and silly. Also, this is one of the rare momments you will see Geri Halliwell with the group. It is definately a guilty pleasure, and fun to watch!

DVD special features include the theatrical trailor and a special performance of Mama.

Review: The spice girls can't sing, they don't play any instruments nor do they write their own lyrics. The songs on spiceworld are superficial and - ultimately - annoying. If you actually like this kind of stuff, I'd suggest that you give REM, Nine Inch Nails, or even Sheryl Crow a go - and find out what real music sounds like.

Summary: Some people only get 15 minutes of fame...
Review: ...and others can get 15 months. Who really cares, because no matter how much there is of it, it always lasts! Remember the time when you would go in a record store and there would be a zillion copies of the SG's albums? I recently went to a local Tower Records and saw a faded copy (the only one in the store) behind a Osmond Brother's CD. When I tried to lift it out, it was stuck. With a tug-o-war pull it came out and there was a huge dust mark on the bottom. Literally. This goes back to the bleak 97-98 year, when teeny boppers everywhere were buying this album like slushies because their friends also had it. Not for music, for the trend. This is sad. Money is hard to come by, people are starving and homeless each day, and somehow, a young person's allowance had to go to a talentless, annoying feminist pop group over some homeless man in the street who was victim of Vietnam, and just wants to eat and see his family again. Sometimes life can make no sense, but when you promote a huge money-burning gimmick and people moronically buy into it, it says that there is something seriously wrong with society.

Review: I love this! S club 7 do simalar music but there newer. I give this 5 stars anyway. My favourite tracks are actaully all of them. Esp. Move over and denying. Great cd and great group. But there a bit old now. For one thing: Mel c: Stop badmouthing Geri! Mel G: You too. Emma: Nice single and Victoria: Get some meat on you woman! well gotta go listen to s club 7 now.
