Summary: My review of Mahlers 1st Symphony on Naxos Musical Journey.
Review: After listening to this symphony by Mahler, I found the music to be most enjoyable, the recording was excellent, and the video photography was fantastic. This is an excellent bargin with Dolby and DTS surround sound play back. I enjoyed this DVD more then one that shows the conductor and orchestra because the scenery is beautiful,plays right into the music, and doesn't flash from one player to another, or to and from the conductor.
I will be looking for other Naxos Musical Journeys.

Review: Save your money. Fine performance of the Mahler, but this DVD series is merely music put to eye candy. We never see the orchestra; too bad.
