Summary: A must for children of all ages
Review: This was excellent!!! Tina Arena was very beautiful. Glenn Close was wonderful too. Micheal Ball has always been my favorite broadway singer. He was wonderful in Les Miserables, and he can do no wrong! Sarah Brightman was terrific, and Micheal Crawford was missed. Lottie Mayor is so wonderul, she is my new favorite. Everyone should leave Antonio Banderas alone. He was wonderful. He did a terrific job, and he would make a great Phantom. Andrew Lloyd Weber is wonderful, eventhough he stole most of his stuff from the early Italian composers.

Summary: I could watch it every day!
Review: Wow. I first saw the edited version of this celebration on PBS, then I just had to go out and buy the video. It's fabulous. I have to say, my main purpose in watching was to see the ever delightful Michael Ball, and he didn't disappoint. What an amazing voice. This was also my introduction to my new favorite band--Boyzone! I really hope these guys make it big in America so I don't have such a hard time finding their recordings anymore. All in all, this video is a real treat, and my whole family and I, who are not all Webber fans, have watched it again and again. I highly recommend.

Summary: I would have bought this video for Gethsemane alone
Review: How I enjoyed this video! First, this production was my introduction to Boyzone, a group I hope will become as popular in the States as they are in Europe. The performances of Elaine Paige, Marcus Lovett, Tina Arena, Ray Schell, Donny Osmond and each of the choruses were stunning.

The REAL reason I bought the video was to hear Michael Ball's interpretation of "Gethsemane," a wonderful work that, to my knowledge, Michael has not recorded. It is positively haunting. I am so pleased with each of the three Michael Ball solos on this video.

If I had to find one fault with the video, it would be that the individual artists were not introduced nor associated with their individual works on the video's cover.

Summary: I thought it beautiful and Lloyd Webber brilliant!!!
Review: The video was astonishing. I love the way all of his musicals are brought together and sung by the most wonderful artists. Andrew Lloyd Webber is one of the most brilliant composers of his time, and to bring in some of the most beautiful singers to his music proves it. This video is one of the best organizations I have ever seen and heard. This is a perfect video for any Lloyd Webber lover.

Summary: Think Cliff Notes for Pop-theater
Review: A pretty good review of pretty good pop-theater. Sarah Brightman is wonderful as always, Glenn Close is better than expected. Be sure to watch the credits at the end. Lottie Mayor is the highlight of the show with "Whistle Down the Wind". Outshining Sarah Brightman is a tough assignment, but Ms. Mayor is a show stopper. A good video for people who don't go to the theater, but want to see the hightlights.

Summary: A Masterpiece of Music Enjoyment
Review: This is one of the best!! I must have watched the PBS specialfive times -- then I purchased the video so I could watch it wheneverI want without interruptions. (The video contains almost 40 extra minutes than the PBS special.) The performances were superb! Sarah Brightman has the voice of an angel. I can't say enough about Michael Ball -- his rendition of "Gethsemane" brought goosebumps and "Love Changes Everything" rocked the audience. Antonio Banderas seemed a little out of his league as the Phantom but his eyes were sexy and mesmerizing and kept my interest. Glenn Close was excellent as was Elaine Paige. "Whistle Down the Wind" was so clear and crisp - a wonderful performance. Boyzone's "No Matter What" is my new personal favorite. This is definitely MUSIC PERFORMED AT ITS BEST!!

Review: When will this great video be put on CD so I can hear it in my car

Summary: Wonderful video!
Review: I had seen this when it was on PBS, but the PBS version wasn't even close to being the full version. I was pleasantly surprised by the extra musicians and songs. Tina Arena really impressed me, I've been rewinding that song and watching it over and over (Whistle Down the Wind). I was also very happy with Sarah Brightman's performance (as she's my favorite female singer). The added music from Requiem was another great surprise. And Michael Ball, oh wow! I could go on about the video, but there isn't enough room here. To say it in fewer words, it was a great video! I got to hear my favorite Webber songs and hear some new musicians at the same time. As soon as I find this on cd I will buy that also. If you're a Webber fan, get this video!
