Summary: I loved it!!
Review: This was an absolutly incredible video!!! The songs were beautiful, the dancing amazing, and I loved Mr.Mistoffelees' special effects. He is my favorite, and if anyone knows where I can get a picture of Jacob Brent, please e-mail me! Now that I've seen it, I've been watching it over and over. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys musicals. It was fantastic!!!!!

Summary: Intoxicating and simply DELIGHTFUL!
Review: At the age of 16, living in an extremely small town(that lacks any sort of culture whatsoever), I was delighted to see the performance of CATS on PBS. I must admit, it was quite confusing the first time I saw it(something not uncommon for T.S. Eliot's work), but after recieving it for Christmas and watching it a few times, I understood it and fell absolutely in love with it. I have watched the film so many times that I can dance and sing right along with it,and play most of the songs on my saxophone. My favorite characters are:#1,Munkustrap;#2,Cassandra;#3,Mistoffelees;and #4,Mungojerrie and Rumpleteaser. The aesthetic quality of the musical is amazing. Anyone who has an appreciation for music should see it. The only downside is the fact that the singers have to tone down their full potential for the recording. However, Michael Gruber deserves two thumbs up for his (beautiful!) performance.

Summary: WOW!!!! IT`S GREAT!!!!
Review: I`ve seen 3 musicals by now: Dance of the Vampires, Dracula and CATS (I don`t count Chicago as a musical, it was awful), and I liked CATS the best, although I only saw it on video, in contrast to the other ones. I got it for Christmas, and by now I watched it at last 50 times. It`s really amazing how the actors move and sing. Although I loved all of them, I have three favourites: Munkustrap, this man knows what singing is, Jemima, her voice is amazing, and Mr.Mistoffelees, he`s just sooo cute! Since I saw this video I look at cats from a different view. EVERYBODY WHO LIKES EITHER MUSICALS, MUSIC OR CATS MUST OWN THIS TAPE!!!!

Summary: Awesome
Review: Just awesome. Absoutly amazing. Now, lets get down to the nitty-gritty. I have read all the reviews on this page. What about the other cats? Huh? HUH?? I mean, come on! Mistoffeles, Rum Tum Tugger, Jemmima, Shimbleshanks, Rumpleteaser, Grizzalbella, Munkenstrap, and Deuteronomy are all great and wonderful,(no doubt about that), but what about the others? Coricopat & Tantomile are cute, and have excellent voices and costumes, Mungojerrie is half of Mungojerrie & Rumpleteaser (How could you forget??) Electra is sweet, Etcetera is awesome, (and a devoted Tugger fan) Alonzo is remarkable and an excellent dancer, Tumblebrutus and Pouncival are, well, tumbly!, and what about poor McCavity? I know he plays the bad-cat, (he probably didn't want to!) and he makes no less than two-thirds of the piece work. He's very strong (Well duh!! he lifts up Munkenstrap like a twig,{Michael Gruber is BIG! 6'2", weighs roughly 200 pounds} and throws him across the stage!!) and he's well, cool! Oh, and Victoria (the white cat) does talk. <Well, not by herself, but you can make her voice out during the chouruses.> And here a little blooper I caught. You know Rum Tum Tugger {of course you do!}, in between "Rum Tum Tugger" and "Grizzabella" <you know, where Tugger points at her, mutters something and leaves>When Tugger mutters, he's actually swearing at poor Griz! At first I couldn't belive it, but it's true. Anyway, it's a truly amazing and awesome film. Truly well worth cost. A must have.

Summary: It was nicely put together and cute overall.
Review: Cats the musical was very neatly thought up and carefully put together. I myself enjoyed it but wouldn't reccomend it for younger viewers for the reason that th evil cat, Macavaty, might be a tad to scary. Overall, I give it two thumbs up. A good idea with some very good creators. On a personal note...I adore Michael Gruber.

Summary: Excellent! A must own video!!
Review: Elaine Paige is, of course, wonderful in the role of Grizzabella, the Glamour Cat! Ken Page & Sir John Mills (and Elaine Paige) made my heart jump for joy. I have never seen the stage play, but I have the CD (original NY cast), and I must say that there is no comparison! I enjoy the London Cast much more. Rum Tum Tugger is my favorite, but there are moves that he makes that some children should look away from! I would recommend this video to anyone and everyone! Even my 14 year old son wants to watch it every day.
