Summary: Too much fireworks, not enough fuel.
Review: As a stepdancer myself and a Flatley fan, I hate to say this, but I have to give Feet of Flames a lukewarm review. There is more here of what I dislike about Flatley and less of what I like, i.e., more strutting and less dancing. The costumes are gorgeous, and the other performers are at their peak, but even they seemed less enthusiastic here than in LotD. The fine edge of the original seems blurred. The Lord of the Dance originally defeats Don Dorcha through dancing alone. Here, the duel is more confrontational, more physical, and I didn't like it as well. I'm glad to see more of his flute-playing, though. It's still a great show, and I'll miss Michael's dancing, but I know how intense Irish dancing is, and I guess I don't blame him for hanging up the shoes after 30 years. I look forward to seeing his acting. He seems to do well in whatever he does, so I doubt if I'll be disappointed. I also look forward to seeing what Helen Egan and Daire Nolan do next. Their performances here were great!

Review: I am a big Michael Flatley fan and would buy anything he releases on video. I was surprised to see that this is basically a repeat of Lord of the Dance. I know that there are some new costumes and some added choreography but it is a repeat. Couldn't he have come up with a more honest way of selling Lord of the Dance part II? Even so, the show was spectacular and Michael and cast were superb. If Michael never dances again he may die a happy man but the dance world will never be the same.

Review: I ordered this after watching a PBS special, I expected my family to like it, they love it! I have 4 children ages 11 to 5 and they have watched this dance video every single day since I've recieved it. This is the most watched video in our house. Michael is simply superb!! A good example of how your dreams really can come true!! (for your kids) The dance is just unbelievable, we discuss how much time and practice it must take to pull this off every time they watch it, which is every day! My children now have begun research on the godess Erin and other aspects of Ireland and its history. Michael I thank ye! Has to be the best video I have ever seen. Still see new things as I watch it for the 4th and 5th times!

Review: Lord of the Dance was awesome but Feet of Flames truly takes you to the edge and leaves you gasping for breath. I just loved the new numbers and costumes. The dancers were good before but they've matured and it shows in their confidence and ease with each other. Bernadette Flynn is spectular and Gillian Norris is also great. Michael Flately is truly a master of the dance. I just loved every minute and the dancers did too they are actually smiling and really having fun in LOTD they were a little more stiff. Buy this video and you will be truly amazed.

Review: As someone who does Irish fiddling, I must admit to being much better pleased with this version of LOTD than with the first one. Firstly, everyone's much more relaxed; secondly, the story is simply told much better; thirdly, there are more musicians on stage; and fourthly, the editing is much less frenetic--you can actually focus on their feet! Michael certainly has an ego, but if I could dance like that, I'd have one too.
