Summary: Amazing!
Review: I have the original. This is just mind blowing. A lot of the same as the original but a whole lot more. More dancers, dancing, new songs, a celtic chant. This is a must have!! I also seen them personally. GO IF YOU GET A CHANCE!!!!!!!

Summary: Truly the best!
Review: "Feet of Flames" truly is the best dance show ever done! Michael Flatley sure knows how to do it right...the music, sets, costumes, lights...and of course the dancing. His talent and artistic sense shine through every moment. Everything is superb...an immense feast for the senses!

The best thing with the DVD version is that it includes a 60-minute (or so) "making of" feature with interviews and extra footage of the show! Also included is a biography detailing Michael Flatley's career.

If you are deciding on whether to buy Feet of Flames or Lord of the Dance, you'd probably want to choose this one instead. Feet of Flames is basically the same as Lord of the Dance in the sense of storyline, however there are additional dances, a special flute solo performed my Michael Flatley himself, different & better costuming and the camera work is a whole lot better! The one thing I did not like about Lord of the Dance was the bad editing/camera work. The scenes cut away much too quickly. I owe both LOTD and FOF and I've found it more enjoyable to watch FOF purely for this reason. With Feet of Flames you get lots of different angles and extended views. Overall it's a much better put-together show.

If you're looking for traditional Irish dance, this shouldn't disappoint you either. Sure, it has modernized the idea of traditional dance and it is a couple of steps up from Riverdance but that's what makes it fun! It's so modern and exciting yet it still gives you that feel of deep-rooted Irish tradition.

Summary: Not as good as I would hope
Review: Ok, so I got this video, it was not at all like I had hoped. It was not in anyway IRISH dance. It might have been some kind dancing, but I can never call it Irish dance. Michael Flatly is making Irish dance way to Amercain and modern. If I wanted to buy some kind of Amercain dancing, thats what I would buy. If you are going to buy a Irish step dance movie, I highly suggest Riverdance: the show.

Summary: Fantastic dancing, great music, DVD features are great!
Review: After giving away my VHS tape of Feet of Flames, I immediately ordered it on DVD. Best purchase I made this year!
Feet of Flames is a fantastic Irish dance and music celebration that features the one and only Michael Flatley. It is a more expanded version of Lord of the Dance (LOD). The dancers are more experienced, the costumes have been updated, the music has been tweaked, and best of all is that we get to see Michael Flatley in a new solo dance as well as playing a very beautiful and memorable flute piece. This was filmed live from Hyde Park in London. The concert features the biggest show stage ever built and it incorporates all three of the LOD dance troupes.

The DVD has some added features. You can choose which dance number you want to see or you can watch the whole concert. There is a FANTASTIC "making of Feet of Flames" mini movie that lasts at least 20 minutes. This featurette is narrated by the man himself (Michael) as they count down to the day of the show. You really get a good, brief look at the planning and execution of such a huge project. You also get some very brief comments from the other show stars. I loved this feature and have been wanting to see a "behind the scenes" piece for some time now. There is also a biography of Michael Flatley.

Bottom line: You don't have to be a music lover to enjoy this enchanting show. You will love it! If you are trying to decide between LOD or FOF, go for FOF.

Summary: 3 Stars - Barely - What a Disappointment...
Review: I had purchased this DVD for my daughter who is very much the dancer. Unfortuntely, WE ALL were forced into snore-mode after just 10 minutes of this film. I only have one word to describe it: MUNDANE. Sure, there were SOME sparkling numbers, but we had to search through the film in order to find them...

Although Michael Flatley is obviously talented, FEET OF FLAMES is better titled ME, ME, WONDERFUL ME BY MICHAEL FLATLEY. Get ready to encounter major Flatley ego as you watch! I haven't seen such a performance - maybe I'm just not as "worldly" as some. Rather, I would have enjoyed more of the pure Irish & Celtic Dancing I was hoping for and not so much self-agrandized infatuation with oneself. Or maybe the problem is the performance was taped in England where they live, eat, and breathe Flatley. After all, anyone's head would swell to the size of Texas with all that adoration! So I guess it is inevitable that his love for himself comes through in this production...

If you are interested in more of the Celtic experience of dancing, I would suggest you purchase copies of his earlier works, before he was "loved by millions." That way, you won't have to put on your ego waders and go in up to your eyeballs...

Summary: Good Concert - Poor Cinemetography
Review: The music and production are outstanding. However, they are ruined by the video portion. Whoever edited the video seemed to feel a need to show all the video editing gimmicks available. The camera is continuously panning in and out and jumping to different viewpoints. It rarely stays on a scene for more than a second; not leaving the viewer sufficient time take in what is going on. The result is a very frustrating experience.

Summary: Everything you could ask for in a video!
Review: I loved "Lord of the Dance" the first time I watched it. So naturally, I was exploring other videos done by Michael Flatley and I came across and purchased "Feet Of Flames." This is Lord of the Dance taken to the next level!! The dancing is much faster and the music is great! It was also a clean, clear picture and not constant camera angle switches like in LOTD. With the returning lead roles and a massive group of dancers, Michael Flatley hits the enormous stage with a show that surely will take your breath away, and leave you in a state of astonishment! I Highly recommend Feet of Flames and Lord of the Dance for great entertainment that any age will enjoy!

Summary: Absolutely fantastic variation of LOTD
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed this variation of LOTD.The dancers, musicians, and singer all seemed to be having fun while doing their numbers. My favorite example is the great Gillian Norris performing " Gypsy " You could see her beautiful face and smile. She seemed to be having a great time while being erotic as she danced. Also her " Fiery Nights " number was excellent ( including the outfit).Bernadette Flynn's dance numbers were also superb. Again the dances were the same as LOTD, however again there seemed to be more sexual energy and passion in her dances. Anne Buckley's songs were sung like a angel from Heaven. The 2 fiddler players were superb as they were in LOTD'Michael Flatley did not do as many dance numbers as before but was his usual flamboyant self.I recommend this show to anyone who likes to watch, fantastic Irish step dancing, beautiful Irish women, Celtic music, good choreography, Great sets and lighting.

Summary: FEET OF FLAMES--BY MICHAEL FLATLEY
Review: THE FEET OF FLAMES PERFORMANCE BY MICHAEL FLATLEY & HIS GORGEOUS DANCERS IS TOTALLY OUT OF THIS WORLD. IT IS A SOUL CAPTIVATING ACT THAT MESMERIZES AND HOLDS YOU SPELLBOUND FOR THE ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE SHOW. BEING FROM BANGLADESH & NOT KNOWING MUCH ABOUT IRISH MUSIC & CULTURE, I WATCHED THE VIDEO FOR ABOUT 10 TIMES ALONG WITH MY WIFE & MOTHER. THE SHOW CUTS ACROSS ALL CULTURAL & RACIAL LINES & TOUCHES YOU DEEP IN YOUR HEART AS A HUMAN BEING. I STRONGLY SUGGEST THIS VIDEO TO EVERYONE, IRISH OR NOT.

Summary: Feet of Flames goes down in Flames
Review: Did anyone else notice that he seemed to kiss and flirt more then he danced? Get a room already! Doesn't he have any other time to do that! Oh and also how come michael flathead gets all the money when he just waves his hands around tapes twice and then he goes kiss some one, those other people tap 100% more then him, so he should get way less money then them. The only reason i'm giving it two stars is because of the bad guys, kick ....!! I also think that the costumes for the bad guys were better and that is about it. Also during the finale michael flathead stood infront of the Dark Lord, uh he did way better then you so let him show, but hey that is my opion!
