Summary: The Best Movie
Review: Newsies is probably one of the best movies. It combines an interesting plot with really great musical numbers and dances. I really feel like I can sympathize when I watch the boys in the movie. That makes me and will make anyone else who watches it feel really good.

Summary: Best Musical
Review: I loved this movie. I saw it on regular television when i was nine and ever since i cant get the phrase "never fear brooklynn is here" by spot collins out of my head. it is the type of musical you ca picture yourself involved in. I really wish that it got better recognition but i luv it any way. I wish it would go back into print!

Summary: Catchy cinematography... FABULOUS FILM!
Review: NEWSIES is the BEST film. Loyal fans are VERY disappointed to learn that Disney has halted the printing of VHS tapes. Joins the ranks of the angry mobs and DEMAND the video, just like the "Cowboy," loveable Jank Kelly (Christian Bale), in his fight against Mr. Pulitzer, in the Newsboy Strike of 1899---the Gilded Age, a GOLDEN MOVIE! five stars! not to mention Jack Kelly and Spot Conlon are serious drool material :p *pant* *pant* Parents- this movie is wholesome, sends a positive messgae out to youngsters (stand up against one's oppressor, and "seize the day!"), and gosh golly, i can't take my eyes off of Christian Bale. Though the film "bombed" in theatres, it has become a cult classic, followed and hungered after by a diverse age group. If you don't at least tell a friend about the urgent battle against Mickey Mouse to bring back our Newsies, go out and rent the film for an evening spent tapping your feet, wiping drool from your mouth, and wondering why you didn't rent the movie sooner.... NEWSIES! kudos

Summary: What are they talkin' about?
Review: First, I know that no reveiwer who reviewed this movie 7 years ago is gonna read this, but what are they talking about saying this movie was terrible. Yeah, I was really little when I first saw it, but I've loved Newsies since it came out. The dancing, the inspirational songs, the message that fighting for cahnge isn't always hopeless! With all these people saying how much they loved this movie its hard to understand how it bombed at the box office! With the video and the cd, i can't get enough of this movie. Don't diss my Newsies, unless you can truly back up your objections, and I'm sure you can't! Try movies once, you'll like it!

Summary: Fun & historical too!
Review: I absolutely love this movie! It's one of the few modern musicals that I actually like. The choreography and storyline are fantastic. The casting is great and I love the singing too! I really think that whoever makes these decisions really should, remaster and re-release this movie. I guarantee I'd be first in line to get it!

Summary: High Pace, Fun, Musical & dance rolled into one
Review: I thought that the songs were up-beat and catchy the acrobatics were fun too. Some of the charactors were fluff (adults), but I thought the kids were strong. I love the historical bases. I'd recomend this!

Summary: Pretty good!
Review: I'm not gonna go out on a limb and say this was the greatest musical/film ever produced, but it really is an attempt to capture a genre that most people seem to ignore nowadays. I really loved Christian Bale's performance as paper seller who is always running from trouble. I never knew he could sing. The same goes for Bill Pullman as the sympathetic news writer who helps the boys arrange the 1899 news strike. The songs and dancing sequences are well done, but I can't think of any songs that are hugely memorable. Still though, this based-on-a-true-story musical film has some great moments, and should be viewed at least once.
