Summary: "Spirit Of '76" gets 76 stars!
Review: "What a fun-filled movie event. Boy, did this take me back, or what? Watching the film was a great trip through time for me. The appearances by such 70's luminaries as David Cassidy, Leif Garrett, Thomas Chong (of Cheech & Chong fame), Iron Eyes Cody, the rock group Devo and others insured us that we were in for a mighty good time. The songs that were used on the soundtrack provided the basis for the settings and the story. There was one discrepancy that I noticed, however; even though the movie takes place in 1976, the song "Disco Inferno" by The Trammps, used in the discoteque scene of the film, was not first released until December of 1977, when it made its debut on the soundtrack album to the 1977 movie "Saturday Night Fever". Nonetheless, this is a great movie, and will, no doubt, become a cult classic. If you want to have a fun time courtesy of an off-beat film, then this one is for you."

Summary: TOTALLY!
Review: A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...

...NOT! More like a time-zone far, far away. Our story begins in America, year 2176. The world is in danger. All life as we know is at stake. The only hope to save the world is to send three unlikely heros to the year 1776 to retrieve the Constitution of the United States.
Lets introduce our contestants! Contestant #1 is Adam 11 (70's icon, David Cassidy). Adam 11 is arogant, egotistical (kinda like Keith Partridge). But, also like Cassidy's former alter-ego, has a heart. As Adam is working on the very ship that will bring him and his companions to the past, he looks longingly at an old, torn postcard with his idea of Paradise and the words "Ikikki Beach". His hearts only desire is to go to "Ikikki Beach", his concept of Paradise.
Contestant #2 Chanel-6 (Olivia d'Abo) is a mission-minded, by the book, beautiful woman. She has her mind focussed on completing the mission. Sort of a hard-case...at first...
Contestant #3 is Heinz-57 (Geoff Hoyle) seems to take things litterally.
So...here is our motley crew. They enter Adam-11's time-travel ship, which, incidentally, is a piece of garbage; the thing just doesn't work right. It is set for 1776...or, so they think. When the ship stops, the digital read-out says 1776, and everyone's happy, and everyone leaves the ship, and takes that one giant step for all future-kind...except, little does anyone know, the read-out then says 1976 (but, the humor comes that our 3 heros believe, throughout the movie that they are in 1776...SHH! don't tell)
Now, we see just about every 1970's cliche known to man (both present and future); the hair-styles, the clothes, the shoes, the cars. The way everyone talks...hey, did anyone notice that Partridge Family lunch box ? :)
Well, ok, still in the frame of mind that this is 1776, they set out to complete their mission, to find the Constitution, the key to saving all man-kind.
It was kinda like The Partridge Family, meets Saturday Night Fever, meets Bill and Ted. Very funny.
Plus, it has a total 1970's soundtrack; a star-studded cast which includes Carl Reiner, Rob Reiner, former 1970's teen-idol Leif Garrett, Tommy Chong, Moon Zappa, Julie Brown. (WHOA! is it just me, or does any of you feel like your watching the end credits to "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band", where you have multitudes of celebrities in the background, singing the finale at the very end of the movie!)
Total 70's, total fun!! So, what d'ya say? C'mon get happy!

Summary: If you were around in 1976, you've to got to see this movie!
Review: A rare find in the video store, this movie is as silly as they get! David Cassidy and Leif Garret in the same movie! You'll have a great time picking out the actors and getting caught up in the nostolgia! Definately a cult classic, too bad the price is a little steep.

Summary: Hillarious!
Review: A very funny movie. The only downside is the price. I had seen the movie about 5 years ago at a friends house and it took me forever to find it. A great cast with lots of laughs. SNODGRASS!!!!

Summary: Weeeeeeelllll!
Review: How can you not get into this movie? It is so silly and tongue-in-cheek! Three time travelers (one of whom is David Cassidy) from 2176 aim to go back in time to 1776, "the birth of our nation", to retrieve the recorded history that was lost in the magnetic storm. Those big sillies! They wind up in 1976 instead and run smack into our beloved McDonald brothers (who helm Redd Kross, one of the greatest bands ever). Hilarity ensues as the time travelers attempt to learn about the history of our country while shopping for leisure suits, driving Pacers and learning to do the Hustle. There's something for everyone: a groovy soundtrack, a love story, car chases, Leif Garrett, fabulous fashions, a science fair, even the Meathead! Liam O'Brien as Rodney Snodgrass just steals the show! Sit back, relax, enjoy, and just "BE"! See this film so you won't be stuck thinking, "Watashiwa manuki!"

Summary: Great 70's movie! FUNNY!
Review: I was very fortunate to get the only copy of this video, from my local video store that was going out of business. It had been a few years since I had seen it and I couldn't resist buying it. A must see for any David Cassidy fan, or a fan of the 70's.

Summary: The absolute best period spoof in the history of cinema!!!
Review: I watched this movie 47 times in an 8 month period and never got enough of it. I knew every single word from begining to end. There are 5 movies that I would ever want to own, and this one is first on the list!

Summary: The 70s have never been funner!
Review: I watched this movie over 10 times and I loved every minute of it. I'm into the seventies theme, and the fashions, music, and especially the teen heart throbs ( David Cassidy and Leif Garrett) made the movie fun to watch. It's a fun movie, I think it's neat, funny, and cute. If you are a fan of David Cassidy, Leif Garrett, or of the 70s then this is the movie for you.
