Summary: A true classic.....especially for Pink Floyd fans
Review: You thought this film is great on its own....try watching it with the volume turned all the way down while listening to Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. Pause it just before the first song and after you hear the third lion roar in the very beginning (before the movie begins) unpause the cd. You will be amazed!

Summary: A movie before it's time.
Review: Living in Kansas, I watched this movie every year, it's a family tradition going back to my earliest recollection of childhood. Every time I see it I discover something new. I never grow tired of it and never will. I plan on watching it with my grandchildren some day.

Summary: Oustanding a must have DVD
Review: My daughter loves this DVD. The colors are just spectacular. Why watch the TV version once per year with 10 commercials/hour when you can own a better version?

Summary: Sing it high, sing it low.
Review: This movie is every good dream you've ever had come to life. Every performance is perfect from Margaret Hamilton on down to Toto. If you haven't read the book, though, you don't know Oz. Read it and rent "Return to Oz." It isn't like Judy Garland's Oz, but it's truer to the original books. Don't compare the two versions, just let them broaden your view of what Oz can be. This one, though, is a peach. It's fantasy and childhood and hope - late 1930's America trying to shake off the Great Depression. Beautiful, legendary film.

Summary: I love this movie when I was a kid, I still love it now!!
Review: My parents bought this movie in betamax and we watched it everyday until the beta retired. 15 years later I'm still watching it, only now it's on DVD

Summary: Why am I writing this review?
Review: This movie is an institution. If you haven't seen it, you'veobviously been living in a cave somewhere, don't have a computer oraccess to one, and won't read this review. If you have seen it and you don't like it, you have a pile of cinders for a heart, a block of wood for a brain and don't have the COURAGE to sit through the scary flying-monkeys scene! If you have seen it and love it (and who, besides a cinder-hearted wood-brained coward, wouldn't?) then it doesn't matter how I review this film. Still, I can't resist. The green-skinned witch, the beautiful Glinda, the glamorous sparkly slippers, the charming and smart Dorothy, the adorable Toto and all of their friends make this one of the greatest buddies fighting a-bad-cause movies ever. I LOVE THIS MOVIE! It's the greatest film of the 20th century (that AOL poll claiming 'Star Wars' as the best was sadly mistaken.) Buy it and watch it often. You will be a better person for it.

Summary: GREAT FUN MOVING
Review: THE COPY OF THE WIZARD OF OZ I HAVE, IS MISSING THE SECTION OF THE MOVIE WHERE THE SOLDIERS IN THE CASTLE SING DING DONG THE WITCH IS DEAD. THIS IS MY ONLY COMPLAINT ABOUT THE REMAKE OF THIS GREAT CLASSIC. IF I COULD GET A COMPLETE COPY OF THE MOVIE; I WOULD, QUIKER THAN THE WIZARD COULD GRANT MY WISH.... THIS REMAKE GETS THE 4 STARS THE ORIGINAL GETS 5 STARS....
